Savannah?
Geoff had debated just not coming to this year-end thing and heading off for a few weeks or months of vacation, but he knew that would look terrible in the press ... and if there was anything his family tried to do, it was keep their noses clean in public. He glanced around for Savannah, hoping to spot her before the rest of the paparazzi flooded in around him and grilled him for how he felt about the 'betrayal' that his team manager had visited upon him.
Honestly, Geoff didn't feel as awful about it as he probably should have. He loved the United, but if the team dynamic just wasn't working the way that it used to, maybe a new player would be just the thing to make everyone work just that little bit harder to make the newbie look bad.
