He knew Griffith wasn't thrilled with exactly how flamboyant his hair was, but he hadn't thought it was that bad until he'd spotted the other man drowning himself at the bar. It had taken him a few minutes to get over to the other man, and a few more minutes to calm himself down not enough to 'make a scene'. That was more Griff's department than his, after all. He'd just been trying to be 'more supportive' in general, and much of that had pushed over into his team lifestyle. He'd been trying to be a better father, to be more responsible to Griff ... and apparently that was making the other man upset.
"Why should I do that? I'm going to have to carry you home either way, it'll be easier if you're semi-conscious." And it would be less embarrassing for them both that way, as far as he was concerned.
