"It seems like a very fun pastime," Therese teased with a smile, his glower and fluster quite amusing. Boys never really seemed to grow up, did they? But, it was amusing, and he was much more interesting than the lovey-dovey drivel that Sebastian and Mackenzie were going on about in the corner. Therese was sure that she would be huffing just as much as Lynch was if she had to listen to them gush about the boys, or the new baby, or the ducks.
That was terrible of her. She was very happy for her friends, thrilled because of all the hardships they'd been through. It was just--very hard not to feel jealous of things. Though, maybe it wasn't jealousy, maybe it was the feeling of rejection and the fear of----she was at a wedding, and she was sitting beside a very handsome man that knew absolutely nothing about her. She could at least amuse herself for the evening, right? Therese straightened herself up and let her hair fall over her shoulders.
Her eyes went to her fingernails, and she played with them gently as she tried to look disinterested. "I don't have any siblings to drive me mad or to drive mad, it seems like I've missed out."
