Otto Bagman ([info]ottothisworld) wrote in [info]valesco,
He let out a chuckle of his own when she laughed in reaction to his stupid joke about her name. “Nora’s a much nicer name.” He spoke with sincerity, finding that her name seemed to fit her – it was pretty, and…well, it was different. She was definitely different from any girl he had dated before, based on the little he knew about her, though he hadn’t really dated anyone since Marissa, and they seemed to be polar opposites. Again, he was just making assumptions at this point, but maybe that was what he needed. Things hadn’t worked out between him and the tall redhead for a reason, though honestly Otto had never been able to place his finger on what that was. That had a lot to do with why he hadn’t dated since their breakup.

Pushing that to the back of his mind, he ordered himself something to eat, standing to the side of the counter with Nora as they waited for their sandwiches to be prepped. It didn’t take long, but it felt like it was taking forever only because of how hungry he was. Thankfully he had her to keep him distracted, and when their trays were finally placed down on the counter, he took not only his but hers, placing them down on the nearest table before pulling out one chair for her, taking the other on the opposite end for himself.

He popped one of the chips he had gotten with his meal into his mouth, elbows resting on the table as she reminded him of his time limitations. “Ugh, don’t remind me…” he said with a shake of his head, pushing around some more chips on his plate before looking up when she spoke again. He let out a short laugh at the request. “So, this is a date?” He asked with a cheeky grin, popping another chip into his mouth. He was definitely teasing her, secretly hoping to make her blush again. “Let’s see…” He popped another chip into his mouth, his furrowed brow showing that he was thinking of five things that were interesting enough to share.

“Well, you already know about my prestigious title in the procrastination department, so we can just skip over that one. I was a Hufflepuff when I was in Hogwarts, and played Quidditch for my house – I was a beater, like my brother.” He definitely wasn’t using the fact that he was Ludo’s brother as one of the things most girls didn’t know about him, because that would just look like he was trying to use that as some sort of draw, having a celebrity brother. “I only have the one aforementioned brother, who is more often than not a pain in my ass. I was born to a pureblood family, but I’m fascinated by Muggle culture. Um…I know enough Gobbledegook to get by in a conversation, though I only learned it so a friend and I could exchange notes in potions without anyone else knowing what we were talking about. I can juggle, but not well. And I can juggle, and I’m actually pretty damn good at it.” He shrugged his shoulders, looking down at his chips as he grabbed for another one. “I never said I was particularly interesting.” He said with a somewhat self conscious little smirk – though he gestured at her with the chip. “Your turn.”
