Rich bit down on his lower lip when she pulled away from his touch, unsure if she was reacting out of pain or not wanting him do anything. He was technically just a Sports Healer, after all. It had been several few years since he'd dealt with spell damage. There could have been advances or different ways of dealing with those types of hexes, now. Still, he wanted to help and he knew she ought not to be walking around with a hex on her, but her reaction was so abrupt that he felt like he was impeding and backed down. He didn't want to mess up their first date before it even started because he refused to let a little thing go.
"Right, of course," Rich replied softly and let his arm fall from around her waist. "I'm just being a nervous ninny." He took a small step away before shoving his hands into the pockets of his jacket so she wouldn't see his fidgeting as he stood there feeling awkward. His brow fretted a little when he next spoke.
"So, do you like street fairs? I was hoping to treat you to some food that's bloody awful for you, watch some street shows, and maybe ride in that Ferris wheel, if that strikes your fancy?"
