It was a good answer. Scarlett had worded her response to deter mention of her team's lousy playoff streak, and Seth had shot right back. The Falcons weren't doing terribly, but they certainly weren't cruising by like they had for the majority of the season. She supposed that was a problem with this game; one catch of a small, quick ball could really set your entire season off course. But, she loved the sport no matter what, and when you came to the conclusion early in the year that only seven people out of the entire league were going to win the cup then...ending the season like this didn't hurt as much.
Still tore her up a bit inside, but she was able to understand it.
Scarlett simply fluttered her eyes, tossing her hair over her shoulder. She despised the nickname 'Red', but she had no desire to let Seth Wadcock, her rival, know that he'd gotten under her skin. Instead Scarlett's lips formed a very rare smile and she held up her cup to his for a quick toast.
"May the best team win," she said with a nod. The best team would win, and she would ensure that the Falcon's goal count stayed low, low, low.
