The smile present on her lips from his compliment slowly began fade with Ethan's following words. He had stolen a wireless that had told him there was a virus going around back home, so that meant they had to... leave. Her brow furrowed, feeling a bit perturbed by this news. Larkin also wasn't sure how she specifically felt about it either... because... well...
"It's not that simple Ethan," Larkin started, her hands falling to her sides. Her gaze fell as well, taking interest in a nearby trinket on the table. Her hands began to play with it as well, looking only for a reprieve from this current budding situation.
It wasn't that--- she knew it wasn't fair to--- but she had gotten so--- it was complicated! This whole situation was incredibly complicated, tangled even further by the presence of Nico and Ethan but not... Larkin understood that she didn't-- but-- she closed her eyes, and promptly push the small golden decoration face down on the table.
"I just can't leave again," she let out finally, shrugging slightly as she spoke. Would she... did she miss her friends, her brother, who were back home? Yes, of course she did, but they were there and she was in Jordan.
