e t h a n ([info]duelbreaker) wrote in [info]valesco,
"But it is," he said, shaking his head. Ethan had never been good at sitting around, and when he didn't have something to focus on like dueling, or breaking up spells, he grew increasingly antsy. He understood the seriousness of the situation, he knew that it wasn't something that could be solved in a day, but it had been over a month! A month with no contact with the outside world, a month from when they were supposed to return home. They all had family and friends who must be worried out of their minds about them. Didn't Larkin feel guilty about any of that?

He stuffed the radio in his pocket, there was no signal in the room, which was strange. Ethan let out a breath and looked back to Larkin, "Do you want to be a princess, or do you want to be a curse breaker? It's that simple. You can't be both."

Logic kept his mind from racing into dangerous and complicated tangents. If Larkin wanted to stay here, then that was the life she chose. If she wanted to be a curse breaker again and go back to the life she'd established, then she should do that. One or the other, black or white. Unless Prince Zayn was fine with his wife traipsing across the globe on dangerous expeditions, Larkin was going to have to make the choice. Though, he did have to put into the equation that pesky thing called love. If she truly did love Zayn, that was a definite fault in their step, but---if they were meant to be together, then they could get past a silly thing like the huge, gigantic secret about her being a witch, yeah?

Ethan put up his hand, as an idea struck, "Tell him you're a witch. If he's fine with it then---maybe we can get out of here on good terms. Do you love him enough to tell him? You haven't yet."
