Kendall Jackson Broadmoor ([info]kjbroadmoor) wrote in [info]valesco,
After spending a month cooking various healthy dishes in hopes of helping Nona feel better, Kendall was craving something grossly bad for you but so delicious you didn't even care. He had started out making fajita's and was in the process of sauteing the peppers and onions and beef when he decide that it would really be great if it were cheesey. It didn't take much for him to decide that yes, you could turn fajitas into nachos. All it would really do was add more vegetables, which would theoretically make it healthier. (Not true, but he could pretend.)

He was juggling stirring the cheese sauce he made, and keeping the veggies from burning when Thomas walked in. "Fajachos? Nacitas? I don't know I was making fajitas and then decided half way through I really wanted nachos."

One of the many (less important) reasons Nona needed to get better. Bad for you food was always much better than good for you food, which is all she had so far. He was actually quite surprised that Thomas hadn't commented on him sneaking off to see her. Not that he was really sneaking off, as he didn't even live in this house. And it wasn't exactly a secret either. It just had yet to come up in conversation.

He wasn't even quite sure they were dating yet, and Kendall wasn't dumb. He knew that there was a relatively high chance that his friends would have a thing or two to say about him seeing her. And why rush that, when he was still figuring out how he felt.

Although, with Rose who knew where with her Quodpot player, and Thomas generally being far more understanding, this would be an ideal time to test the waters.

Turning down the heat, he looked around the kitchen as he wiped his hands of on the makeshift apron he had on. "Do you have chips? Or do I need to fry the tortillas I had for the fajitas?"
