Penelope was filled with mixed feelings about returning to Hogwarts. Nerves and terror mostly filled her, as her last memories of school had not been ones she was eager to relive. The thought of all the people she would see again caused her feelings of unease, and she wondered if time and space away from the hallowed halls would prepare for the assault of memories of her sister. But those nerves and that terror and the creeping unease were also tinged with excitement, as her earlier years had been good ones, filled with many fond memories of friends and family.
She struggled to remember foremost that this occasion was a happy one. She was celebrating the successes of her brother, her boyfriend, and some of her best friends as they relived a somewhat friendly rivalry on their old stomping grounds. Immense pride filled her at the thought, and she was always pleased to show support for her old house.
It had been difficult to be back, yes, but she had friends, family, she had Charlie. The feeling of excitement and happiness amidst the crowds was contagious, and she was happy to sit on a bench in her black hat and big yellow bow, watching the students and children run wild on a pretty day as Charlie entertained his fans.
"I am sure several of those girls have professed love for you already," she agreed, watching them scatter. "It's really quite unfair of you."
