Really? That's what she wanted to come in here and start with? Not 'what the hell was that about', not 'you're off the field for the rest of the season', but this petty little -- as if she knew anything about the reasons that he had for breaking up with Savannah, as if she'd even bothered to ask because they were teammates.
He should've expected it, but it just made him angrier. It wasn't like he deserved any better, but -- he didn't want to drag Carys into this even if she was going to try and put her nose in it over Savannah. He tamped down any smartass comments that he'd had brewing and took a deep breath in.
"From what it looked like, I wasn't doing much while I was out there anyway."
