"AHH!"
Charlie fumbled backwards as the ghost passed through him. "AH---
AH!"
"Oh, stop being such a ponce!" the ghost remarked, flicking its wrist and floating through a wall. Charlie breathed heavily, glaring at the wall and hoping the ghost could feel it. He was
used to the ghosts of Hogwarts because they were around all the bloody time and
not moaning and causing everything in the room to rattle and fall off the walls. And
that was after he'd walked through a spiders web, and
that had been directly after he'd stepped in something that felt remarkably like quicksand.
He bloody
hated Nora Peakes.
It would be
fun, she said,
it's for charity, she'd whined,
I'll put spiders in all your socks if you don't!, she'd threatened. Charlie had begrudgingly agreed, and had even more of an obligation to go when Penny had shown interest. At least once he got to see Penny he'd feel a little better, right? Right. If he could make it out of this bloody maze alive. Which he probably won't, considering his terrible sense of direction and his penchant for getting frazzled when he had no idea what he was doing.
His
costume was going to bloody
waste.
"I hate Peakes, I hate Peakes, I hate PEAAAAKES!" Charlie screamed as a gust of wind blew past him as he entered a new corridor. He pressed against the wall and covered his eyes, thinking that if he ever made it out of this blasted castle, he was going to be sure to torture Nora Peakes for the rest of her life---
and her afterlife.
