Her hand curled, and Larkin pulled her arm back quickly. 'Touching privileges'? Eyes slitting, she watched Seth's face keenly for a couple of seconds. What was that supposed to mean exactly? Deciding she did not want to venture and figure it out, Larkin quickly turned on her heel, intent on returning to her race before this barely-clothed distraction had come along. Pride was at stake! She would never hear the end of it if she found Nico lounging at the exit, yawning on about what had taken her so long.
Tossing her hair over her shoulder, Larkin took a couple few steps forward and away from Seth. It wasn't until after she had begun inspecting a very informative fork in the road (and therefore given herself time to think up of an appropriate response) that she responded.
"Why?" Her eyes lit up mischievously as she twisted to look over her shoulder at Seth. "Have you finally given up on receiving an answer about that from Wendy?"
Perhaps she had more of an idea as to what Seth may be potentially talking about than she had let on.
Perhaps.
Nonetheless, her voice was still airy, as if they discussing the most casual of topics.
