Graeme!
Giada had really, really needed a day out.

The baby was due to arrive in two weeks, and while it was wonderful to finally be so close to meeting their new little one, Giada did not think she'd maintain her sanity until then. There was only so much a person could take, it felt like she'd never be able to sleep right, or walk right, or eat right, and---she hated complaining, she did. She did! She'd gotten very good at it, but she hated it!

Things in the Dorny household had gotten a bit better. Graeme was no longer banished to the couch, and they'd been able to focus on just them and their growing family. Their flat was way too small for Graeme, Jackson, two dogs, and a new bundle of joy, but the business was doing well, so there were hopes of maybe, at some point, finding a house. A house! Things to focus on and keep her mind off of being a miserable pregnant woman without her sister to help her along.

Giada let out a big sigh, glad that she'd charmed her boots before they'd left to be extra cozy. Even just a little bit of dancing wore her out, and she stood against a pillar while Graeme returned with their drinks. She'd avoided the magical maze, but even the dance hall felt a bit like the walls were shifting and changing with all the elaborate decorations. Who knew if Graeme would even be able to find her?
