Delilah Jane Spinnet ([info]takeyoudown) wrote in [info]valesco,
It wasn't that Delilah was avoiding meeting Drystan and Odette, it just so happened that when Matt's friends had started making their way towards the couple she had noticed that Charlie was sitting off by himself. If she allowed it, he'd sit and sulk the whole party and that just wasn't acceptable.

"You have to stay at least until its safe for me to return to Matt." Delilah said her hand propped in her chin as she watched the gaggle of hufflepuffs. No, she certainly wasn't scared of his friends (if it came down to a fight, she'd certainly win) but they were a bit more than that, weren't they. She could tell they were more like family than friends, and she wasn't quite ready for the 'meet the folks' stage of the relationship. She was so fond of Matt and adored their happy little bubble. Delilah had no qualms letting that stretch on before giving someone a reason to investigate whether or not she was worthy of him.

She turned her attention to her brother, who was doing his best (or not really at all) trying not to look pathetic sitting across from her. The only reason she wasn't mocking him was because she completely understood being injured and not being able to do what you wanted. That combined with not winning, well she was surprised he showed at all. At least his injury was at end of season and Charlie wasn't missing to many games.

"How are you feeling? How about I go get us some drinks and you can tell me all--" Delilah stopped mid-sentence, craning her neck to see if what she thought she saw over her twin's head, was what she really. Not that she would be jealous or anything, she did break it off with him after all. But it was weird though. Wasn't it strange that-- "Is that-- Is that Rich dancing with Victoria Cadwallader?" she asked voicing her thoughts aloud, not trusting her own eyes.
