Billie Trimble ([info]obtineo) wrote in [info]valesco,
His answer made her snort, though hearing the word 'congratulations' didn't seem to get old, her smile widening into a grin. She wasn't trying to gloat, but she couldn't hide the fact that she felt good - she wasn't just handed the cup, she knew her team had earned it, and being such a competitive person, she couldn't deny her love for winning.

"Thanks," she said, attempting to be modest so he didn't feel like she was rubbing it in his face. If she were in his position, she probably wouldn't have come out to celebrate another team's victory, though he was right; the open bar certainly did help. Knowing herself, she would likely be hold away in some bar on the other side of town, dwelling on all the things she had done wrong throughout the season. She had gotten a lot better about beating herself up over every little thing though, especially since she had started her sessions with Healer Diggle. He had definitely helped her work through a lot of her issues, even though she had been skeptical about the whole thing.

"Well, since you're here, I think you should have a drink with me." She smiled again. "Or you could sit here by yourself the whole night. Your choice." She said with a casual shrug. Seeing how this was a celebration for the Arrows, there were other people who would take her up on the offer, but Billie was selective about who she socialized with. She didn't really know Jeremiah very well, but she had a feeling he wouldn't be terrible company. She had been trying to put herself out there more often, but it just didn't come naturally to her. Tonight, however, she was feeling rather bold.
