Seth chuckled directed their path towards a gazebo near the lake. "The first one was." Seth said thinking about the rushed proposal he had made so he could take Savannah with him to Montrose. They had been so happy then, Seth could only imagine where they would be now had he not left Puddlemere. "And if I remember correctly it took me far longer that it should have to replace it."
The Gazebo was more tastefully decorated than the rest of the town. Simply lit up with twinkling lights and a few flowers expertly placed. "Here," he said softly taking the ring from Savannah, "let me put it on for you."
Carefully sliding the ring onto the ring finger of her left hand, Seth could feel his heart beating in his chest. He had planned this surprise out so carefully, every detail for the last month. He smiled down at the ring on her hand. "What was it I said then?" he started, still looking at the candy ring. "Something like, 'Savannah I-can't-believe-I-didn't-even-know-your-m
iddle-name Davies, will you take this candy ring as a sign of my love and affection for you?'" He laughed as he quoted himself. "And then something incredibly cheesy about being the candy lady to my candy man. I really didn't do it justice at all then, did I?"
He took a breath trying to calm his nerves. How many times had he gone over this, just to make sure he got it
just right. Lifting her hand to kiss her knuckles, Seth covered her fingers as he held them in his own. "A proper proposal, Savannah
Leanna, a proposal worthy of you requires a bit more effort. A beautiful setting, a long romantic speech, a ring worth more than a knut."
"Savannah, you are incredible. Just everything about you amazes me and just when I think it isn't possible to love you any more, you do something to prove me wrong. Everyday that you are with me is my new favorite day. People say it all the time, 'I can't imagine life without you', but I lived it. I know exactly what it is like to not have you in my life and I don't ever want to go back to that."
Seth shuffled his feet, kneeling down on knee, finally revealing what the
charmed ring transfigured to when he had kissed her knuckles. "I can't wait another day without asking you, will you marry me? Marry me and let me spend the rest of my days repaying you for helping me be a better man."
