He'd always told her that she looked the prettiest when she was working -- not because of something silly like women belonging in the kitchen, but because whenever she was decorating her cakes or rolling out dough, she looked so at home and relaxed that it was difficult to take your eyes off of her. Richard chuckled warmly when she leaned up to kiss him, resisting the urge to reach forward and make sure the top box didn't just topple down onto the ground or something silly like that.
Surely Veronica knew what she was doing with them, anyway. He grinned, waving a large hand off to the side.
"Well, I had an inconsolable sweets craving this morning," he slid his arms around her from behind and pressed a kiss to the side of her neck, "And it just wouldn't go away."
Sure, that sounded appropriately romantic for now. He peered toward the pile of boxes, curious as to where she'd put it.
