◎ c h a r l i e ([info]spinnets) wrote in [info]valesco,
There was a great need to pull a face and judge her immediately for being related to Lynch, but Charlie kept his amused expression sturdy. He and Rose Knightley had made it their life goal to pester Lynch as much as possible during their rehab sessions together, and while they were often foiled, this perhaps, would be the perfect way to sneak attack some much deserved revenge. Charlie pretended to pay apt attention to Lynch and Wadcock, who looked like they were going through something dramatic.

"Wow, the Polish Keeper's your brother?" Charlie said in great awe. "He almost played for Ireland, yeah?"

That caused him to grin, ever so much, but he stood straight and nodded. "I think I can help you out with that. Because you asked so nicely."

Charlie winked down at her, before slipping off his stool and rounding the bar to where Lynch and Wadcock were pouting. Moving through the crowd, he discreetly shook some hands from some other players, trying to keep his low-key persona in tact. He was sure Lady Lynch was keeping a keen eye on him, so he had to play the part. Finally coming around to the other side of the bar, Charlie pushed into the space between Lynch and the random person next to him. He saluted the two other players, a wide, cheeky smile stretched across his face.

"Hope you're enjoying our party, lads," Charlie said to the men before turning to the bar and flagging down the bartender. He had better luck on this side, it seemed, and his drink came right away. Charlie raised his pint up in silent cheers as he caught Lady Lynch's eye, and he winked before taking a drink.
