"Well at least there's one good thing about it," she relented, watching with some amusement as he visibly stopped the chair short with the back of his legs. Even with the mask she could tell that he was blushing by the way the tips of his ears turned red; it was absolutely adorable. In fact, she was finding that she liked a lot about her doctor, and couldn't quite decide whether that was inappropriate or not. She was in the process of trying to come to that conclusion when another wave of feverish agony gripped her body, sending it writhing beneath the covers.
Once the pain had subsided, she slowly blinked her eyes open again to offer him a grimacing smile. "Nevermind. I still hate this. This is awful." She pressed her palms to her forehead and exhaled deeply. "You know," she said, looking at him sympathetically, "I really have to thankyou, Doctor Santiago. For being so nice to me. And coming to check on me. I like when you visit."
Merlin, had she just said that out loud? Now it was her turn to blush. She was definitely feverish.
