"You make a very good point." He tapped her nose, however, and tilted his head. "But you know that if I didn't work, we wouldn't be able to have such lovely things." Nor would he be able to support two women on his inheritance (the one he didn't exactly have yet) no matter how careful he was about things. Jude knew very well that if he wasn't good to both of his wives that he could lose either one without any notice at all. That wasn't something that he was willing to risk.
He tilted his head into the touch with a soft sigh and smiled. "Hm."
