Fabian felt his shoulders slump slightly when Remus told him that no, there was nothing new to report. It was disappointing, since he wanted to know as much as he could, so he could try to figure out why all of this had happened. Why it was them. But, when he thought about it, there wasn’t really anything he could do with the information, right? Maybe knowing the who, what, where, when, why and how would make it easier to accept. Then again, for all he knew, it would just make things harder.
“Thanks…” He said with a halfhearted smirk, reaching out to take the mug in his hands. The warmth felt good, and it was only now, when he had caffeine right there in front of him, did he realize how tired he was. The entire weekend was just…crazy. He and Bess were looking into getting a house together, which is something he had only thought about doing with one other person in the past, and that person was getting married. Well, she already was married by now, to William Jugson. It bothered him that he still got angry whenever he thought of him, whenever he thought of her with him, even though he had moved on and was now happy and content in a new relationship.
But that wasn’t what he was thinking about. No, Anneliese was so far from his mind right now. He was just thinking about the McKinnons. “I guess we’ll just have to wait it out than, yeah?” A shrug was given as he lifted the mug to his lips, taking a sip of the warm, sweet liquid that was inside. Placing it down, he leaned back into his chair, lifting his arms as he took a deep breath, exhaling it as a heavy sigh as he placed his hands behind his head. “I haven’t even talked to Vinny yet…” He stared down at the table, shaking his head. “Then again, I’m not really sure what I’d say to him.”
