Cael Gray ([info]winsome_wizard) wrote in [info]valesco,
Him repeating himself was the least of Jones’ concerns. At least he was saying something, and at least he was there, which he hadn’t been for the last four days. While he took his shower, Jones flopped himself down on his bed, staring up at the ceiling as he crossed his arms over his face, letting out a groan. God, he was so exhausted. Between having trouble sleeping because of the McKinnons, and because of Waldo going missing, and having practice every day, he was really quite out of it. And even though he wanted to fall asleep right there, right then, he was too antsy knowing that Oz had finally shown up.

He didn’t budge when the door opened, and he hardly reacted after he heard him speak, except for his jaw clenching due to annoyance. “I’m glad you’re finding this all so funny.” He mumbled before he finally sat up, leaning forward as he messed up his fairly damp hair with his hand. He had managed to take his own shower after practice. “So what else is it going to take for you to tell me where the hell you’ve been?” He raised his brows high, his hands placed on either side of him on the mattress, his shoulders hunched forward. “I reckon you’re going to want something to eat, so why don’t we get that out of the way so you can’t make any excuses, yeah?” Rising to his feet, he moved over to the door, but stopped once he was next to Waldo.

Ugh, he really didn’t want to be making jokes, but part of him had a feeling that his friend was seriously hurting in more than one way. “If I find out you did this to yourself to make yourself look tough or something, I’ll be really pissed off…because hell, I could have done it for you. Would have been happy to.” Giving him a halfhearted smirk, he gestured into the hallway with a tilt of his head. “Come on you wanker, let’s get you fed before you’re smaller than Boardman.” Walking into the kitchen, he opened the fridge and pulled out some leftover Chinese food, placing the many boxes out on the table, letting him pick what he wanted.
