"Maybe not birds, but perhaps the reason we're starting off with birds is that it's a small object and we'll eventually apply the theory to larger objects. Like chairs, or...or a gurney or what have you," she said simply. "She's just building up to it, I think."
She pulled out her Transfiguration text book to leaf through it. "Okay, so...I know you said you don't understand any of it, but what's really confusing you?" she asked as she got to the correct page. She stared up at him. He was such a good, kind friend; she was rather glad to have him around, even when he needed loads of help with his Transfiguration work. "And yes, we can still work on it after the meeting. It might even be better since we'll be up in the room. We can practice it and such."
