"I---"
He was realizing quickly that this was the closest he'd been to Mackenzie in months. Even their prefect routes had been ruined, and with the animosity between Gryffindor and Slytherin at a lifetime high, there was no way to manage to get near her without anyone noticing. Not that either of them had made much effort in that way---he knew Mackenzie would not want to cause a scene with that ring on her finger, and he did have a girlfriend. Chasing around a seemingly random Slytherin girl would not do him any good in any scenario.
Sebastian's mouth shut into a tight line, that twitched slowly into a smile. The hallway was dark, but some light a bit further down helped his eyes focus on her face. Mackenzie Loftus had the loveliest eyes he'd ever seen, and he could go on for years about her lips, and the smell of her hair intoxicated him and---Sebastian blinked quickly and looked away for a moment, forcing himself to break from the involuntary spell she always put him under.
"I've missed...." you, I've missed... Sebastian swallowed roughly, knowing that a lot of what...whatever they had was silent and had never been spoken aloud. Did that mean they actually had anything, then? "...talking to you, we never talk, anymore."
