Adamina,
I did a little research on 1st anniversaries, and maybe it's just me being an ignorant male, but there really is a lot to represent this very special occasion! So, because I want to make sure that you, my love, are aware of these traditions (even though there's little doubt that you are, seeing as women just seem to innately know these things). Maybe I just want to list them out myself to make sure, but. It's the thought that counts, yes?
Firstly! The first anniversary's color is yellow. Or gold! Which is good, seeing as I was a Hufflepuff and have Hufflepuff friends---this goldish yellow ink is coming in quite handy!
Second, there's the flower, which is an orange blossom. Do you know how hard it is to find orange blossoms? Very, my dear, but again, being a hardworking Hufflepuff comes in handy! The orange blossom symbolizes purity, innocence, eternal love, marriage and fruitfulness, and fertility---a few things need working on, but Mina! We're sure off to a good start, huh!
Third! Peridot is one of the gemstones. Sorry that I couldn't get any gold to work with this aspect, but I think a bit of Slytherin green comes in handy sometimes
AND lastly, the first anniversary is the paper anniversary, and, well, I'll just let you open your present and see what - I - found.
I love you, and am incredibly excited to meet Daphne and annually do this kind of fun research.
Love, Tim |
