Before I talk about my adventures at store 113 ...

Last night, I went to the hockey game with Tonnie. I ended up working 8-12, switching around shifts so I could get off in time. After I got off, I went to see Jo Ann, and she gave me my schedule, starting today, and gave me a pain in the ass 2-11pm cashier shift. I took it, and really don't know why I said okay. I need the hours, I know, but 2-11? I haven't worked that long, or that late in about 2 years. And I knew after I said okay, that there wasn't any possible way my ankles and knees could take that kind of shift so soon, so I ended up getting her to let me work 4-11. Not as bad, but still, I told her I never want to work that late ever again. It's an okay neighbor hood during the day, but at night, I don't want to be around there. So anyway, after talking with her for a few, I went over to Fantastic Sam’s and had Sara do my hair all cute like for the game (because we were meeting the players after the game), and realized I had a while before I had to be to Tonnie's work, so I went by Charlotte to buy a new pair of jeans that I've been desperately needing for a while now, and a new shirt, just because. I still had time, so I went into MAC and had my make up done by the one girl who always does mine. I did pretty good, I only bought three things. Normally I buy everything she uses. I really want the eye make up though! So after I was done there, I had about 30 minutes to kill, so I went back home and changed into my new clothes, and left for Tonnie's work.

We didn't realize the game started at 7:30 instead of 7, so we stopped at Del Taco and sat around talking, realized it was 6:45, and hauled ass over to the area, sat down in our seats and then realized the guys were all just barely coming out for warm ups! We felt stupid, and a little annoyed because that put us like an hour and a half later leaving. The game kind of sucked, it was tense, but Calgary out-skated us, therefore, kicking our asses! So Tonnie and I joked around with the other two guys in our row the entire game.

Then after the game, we went to check in and get our wristbands, then went downstairs with a group of people who weren't on the list. I was so irritated because it was so muggy down there, and my jacket is huge and really warm, but I didn't want to have to carry it, so I kept it on. And there was this really annoying lady (one of the people NOT on the list!) that went down with us who kept talking about how late it was and how she had to go to work "unlike everyone else here", as she put it. WTF? WE ALL HAVE TO WORK TOMORROW! Stupid bitch. And she had like 30 things for everyone to sign! I really wanted her to leave, because we were first to head down, and once we started going down the stairs, she cut us off, so she stole what would've been my spot behind the little barricade things. URGH! So anyway, after about 20 minutes of standing towards the back, away from crazy annoying lady, I see Alex Tanguay walking past the first barricaded section, and I ask out loud "Is that Alex?!" and then I get all scared, because I've loved him since I first saw Colorado play, and Tonnie took me down a couple years ago to meet him and see Ossi (it was RIGHT after Ossi got traded to Colorado), and that time, Alex was walking by, and I chickened out after Tonnie got his attention for me, and pretended I didn't know him or Tonnie, and just started talking to Ossi, who happened to be barely getting out! haha. It sucked, but I had to pick, one of the two was going to walk away without being stopped by me, so I chose my then-hockey-husband (yes, that's right. Tonnie and I have hockey husbands! lol, but don’t worry, we're not the crazy people who really believe we're married to them and fight other fans of theirs! OMG LORI! lol) SO ANYWAY, this time, I knew it was my last chance, if I blew it, and didn't stop Alex, Tonnie wasn't going to this time, and she wouldn't let me go down there again with her next season (she's a season ticket holder, and they only get to use the downstairs pass ONCE every season). So just as he was passing where I was starting to inch up, I yelled out his name, and thank God, he somehow heard my mousey call and stopped and looked around at the other people blocking my way to him, trying to figure out who was calling him. I managed to make eye contact with him, and motioned for him to come over to the barricade, and this stupid fat lady was so rude to me, and wouldn't move, so I had to just kind of stick my program out past her (she wouldn't move and let me just stand in front of the barricade for these 10 seconds!) and then I asked him if I could get a picture with him, and he said okay (cause he's awesome like that!) and so I asked her if she could move for a second, and she just gave me a dirty look and didn't move, so the picture with Alex is weird looking because we're not really standing by each other or anything. (i look really fat, im not that fat tho. BTW, lady on the right is the fat bitch who wouldn't move!) So I said thank you to him and he kept heading out towards the bus, and I moved back to my spot with Tonnie near the back where no one was standing.
Mind you, it wasn't that crowded down there in either of the two sections of the barricade, it was like, there were enough people that most of them could line up single file and cover the entire length of the front barricades, and then plus a couple more that could cover the shorter, side barricade, and maybe five other people who were just standing in the center of the barricades.
So anyway, back to my story! After Alex is gone Tonnie and I go back to lurking near the back, when she sees Jerome Iginla (sp?), who is the Calgary's Captain, and one of the best players in the NHL! Before Ossi got traded to Colorado, Calgary was my second favorite team because of this guy! He is so awesome. So now they're back to being my #2 since Ossi doesn't even play in the NHL anymore, and Alex is now in Calgary (He was in Colorado)! So Jerome is super nice, and came into the barricades and was talking to everyone on that side, and Tonnie said she wanted a picture with him, but didn't want to go over there, but a few other people had moved the between barricade a little so they could go over there, so I dragged her through that little entry way, and we waited for 15 minutes while he was talking to these three people who he apparently knows (I'm guessing he is to these people what Landon was to us!) and he talked to them for forever, and then he had to go because another Flames player came to get him and told him they were leaving. So these stupid girls cut us off and got a picture with him, and he started walking away, so Tonnie backed off, like she wasn't going to ask him anymore, so I said "wait! can she get a picture with you!?!" and he was like "yeah, but hurry! the busses are getting ready to leave!" so I snapped the picture and then he was off!
After he left, I realized it was less crowded on that side, and saw a big open spot for me to wait for Peter! It was right against a pillar, but the barricade wasn't pushed up against the pillar, so I had a plan that I was going to stand in that opening, and if Peter would let me get a picture with him, I was going to snake around to the other side of the barricade to get closer to him, possibly, and hoping for the arm around my waist pose, lol, I'm a dork! After a couple of guys came out, and Gretzky passed by pretending to be on his cell while his body guards walked him out (good thing too, I'd have bitched him out for Krys' sake, lol. not really though. but I like to pretend I'd have the balls to say it!), I was about ready to just leave! When Ossi and Krys' were rookies, we'd have to wait for about an hour and a half for them to come out, because the rookies have to shower last. And Tonnie was tired, her feet were killing here, and I, of all people, know how that feels, so I was about to say "well lets go, we'll catch peter somewhere else after I get his jersey" when Tonnie got all excited and was like "there he is!" and shoved me to my spot between the pillar and barricade. I was first! EEP! This lady, who led us down after getting the wrist bands, gave him a marker to sign stuff, and I asked him to sign my program, because there's an article in there on him, so I had him sign that page, then I was like "do you mind if I get a picture with you?" all nerdy and so un-20 year old like, and was like "DAMNIT!" in my head. Had it not been Tonnie, I would've probably dared to do a little flirting, but I couldn't! So he was like "sure!" and smiled all cute like, and I slipped between that space, and, got exactly what I wanted, his hand on my lower back/waist! haha, so anyway, best picture ever. Then after I said thank you to him and turned to smile at him once last time, Tonnie and I headed back to our original spot on the other side, because we had to wait for the lady again to escort us back up the other side to the other stairs.
And that's my story! Lol, I drew a lame layout on paint so you could kind of get the idea of how it was set up down there! I tried

And now ... I somehow survived working at 113 today. I was scared out of my mind, but the girl was actually really nice. Jo Ann said she’s 18, about to have her second child, and acts like a 10 year old, so going in, I wasn't really ready to deal with that sort of a person, but she's really nice, I like her. I feel like, ... after she leaves I'll be screwed. I don't know anyone there, so my plan of doing shit then hanging in the break room for about an hour is gone. Had it been at my store, that's all I'd do, lol! It's like, it's a lame job, like there's not a lot to do, but at the same time it seems hard to get it, like there's a lot to be done. When I got there, we took all of the Valentine’s Day Flowers that didn’t sell and counted how many bouquets there were, then threw them into one cart, then took all the buckets that all of those flowers were in and took them into the produce room to clean. We had to stop half way through to go to a meeting for all the managers, because Krissy is Floral manager, and basically, she's not coming back after she has this baby, so I'm training for manager, not floral lead. That took maybe 30 or an hour, then I went back to finish cleaning the buckets while she got all for the boxes full of new flowers to put out. After finishing cleaning then, I went back and put them back into the wall where they go, and she had to go run Uscan, and left me to fill the wall with the new bouquets, and I was worried that I'd make it look ugly, but I think I did okay. She came back, we took about 5 carts full of trash to the back and throw away. I really can't remember what we did next, but we took breaks around 12, then came back and she ran Customer Service while I put out the new planted flowers. When she was done at the desk, we had to get pull the pathetic looking plants and throw them into a "trash cart" and pull the UPCs off of them, then took all of those carts to the back to throw the trash out. Came back up, cleaned up a little bit, then she sort of showed me how to scan things out, which I can't remember how to do at all if my life depended on it, but luckily, she didn't know if she was going to get to train someone or if they were going to just throw someone back there after she left, so she made a little booklet full of steps on how to do that sort of stuff. After that, it was about 2, so she started to show my how to order supplies, another thing I can't remember how to do at all, and confuses me most. But then if was 30 after, so we clocked out and left.
I'm so lost on the ordering supplies. I don't understand how you know what to order, and when. I guess all flower orders have to be done and submitted by Sunday at 9am, but do you have to order flowers every Friday? Or what? And when you get new flowers on that delivery day, to do you throw the other ones out?! What the hell? I know the flowers have "pull of shelf after this date" on it, but still, what if you didn’t get any more in that day?! And I don't get how to order the balloon and other supplies! How do you know what to order and when? And I don’t know how you know what the budget is, or how to not go over, idk. I have to know how to make signs, and I don’t really get why it's so hard, but it is to me lol! She said she had the same problem when she started, but you just learn by doing. I guess receiving is everyone Monday and Thursday ... I don't know. I'm so stressed out about having all of this on me after she leaves. Oh, good news, I get to go in at 4am this Monday to do inventory. Yay. No. I have to do this once a month, and this is the ONLY one she'll be there for, so next time, I'm on my own! OMG, she told me that she comes in 30-an hour early all the time to get more hours, that on inventory days, she goes in at 4, and all the other times, comes in at 8 instead of 8:30. I think that's awesome, and I'll probably be doing that too.

Get this, yesterday after leaving Jo Ann's store and going to Fantastic Sam's, a lady from US bank calls and sets up an interview time for tomorrow at 11 with me. OF COURSE! NOW you call, after I've just decided I'll never get to leave Fry's because no one has called me back about my resume! So I don't know what I'll do if she offers me a job, because I want to stick it out even though I don't think I can get this stuff down, I don't want to screw Jo Ann over, if I leave, she'll have to find someone else for Floral and I'll have to train them? IDK. But, I did call Liz at CR and tell her I could only work on Tuesdays now, because that's the day I'll always have off with my Sundays. So that's done. And I'm thinking I'll get one more job, a night time job. I mean, if I'm off at 2:30, I could get a part time job somewhere from like 3 or 4 to about 10 at night and be okay. That way, I have three incomes, and the one from Charlotte gets me a 40% off of the new clothes I'll be needing, AND basically, with that other job, I can just work at Charlotte, then use my entire check to buy clothes! It works out good, but banks aren't open at night! LOL. So idk about that. I'll see what this lady has to offer, if I like it, I'll see if Jo Ann can somehow have me doing Floral at night instead of in the morning? That way, if she lets me, I can do a bank job from 9-5, then go to Fry's and work floral from 5:30 to 10 or something? I don't know, we'll see.

BTW, here's the layout ....

BTW, I'm not sure why I download the songs I hear when I'm with Sarah, because then my iTunes goes to shuffle, and these songs come on, and I'm like "Why the hell do I have this?!!?"

Edit: I'm really not that big, guys, really! lol, my jacket is from Canada (and yes, I was dumb enough to wear it to a game vs a Canada team, shut up), and the inside of it, as you can see, is wear and all pouffy like for warmth. I should've taken it off :[
