Deckard: Why did you take them?

Wyrm: They were in my territory. As were you and the noisy one still outside.

Deckard: We didn't see anything we recognized as boundaries that we crossed. Return my companions and tell us where your boundaries are. We'll get outside of them and be on our way.

Wyrm: Hnm. Quite the negotiator, aren't you. *the dragon's tail comes around to wrap around him....he won't escape being grabbed* You still haven't answered me, though. What are you willing to do to get them back?

Deckard: Ah! *struggles* Sir, this is rude. Please put me down. And I don't give blanket answers like that. What is it that you could possibly /want/? From me /or/ them.

Wyrm: Rude? Rude is passing through another's home, rude is stealing what few orbs can be found in the dunes, my dunes. I should swallow the lot of you and let your spirits waste away inside me. *comes out a rumble...but then he seems to calm* The desert, in its entirety, is my territory. You were trespassing the moment you stepped onto the sands. .......I will grant you this, you are the first to come here to talk rather than immediately trying to kill.

Deckard: I don't want any trouble with you. I'm not here to kill you. I just want my companions back so we can continue our journey. And I hope you'll forgive us, but there's nothing indicating /anywhere/ that the desert actually belongs to anyone. Maybe a fence or some signs are in order. A designated safe path would be good too. There's no going /around/ the desert, so anyone needing to get to the other side /must/ cross through it. And again, /please/ put me /down/.

Stars: What have you done with Dreamcatcher? If you've hurt her... */growls/ but lowers his weapons, though they're still primed and ready.*
Wyrm: *grumblerumbles, it's almost "soft", or rather it's so low they'll feel it mare than hear it as the walls and their armor vibrate with the sound* They are in there. *nods to a doorway* *and he's still not put Deckard down*
Stars: *looks...looks back at the dragon and starts scooting that way, cautious as he approaches the door.*

Stars: *reaches the doorway and looks in...and lets out a buzz! He moves in only to squawk in protest when a big dragon wing shoves him in faster*
Wyrm: *holds Deckard firmly, pushes Stars into the room, and moves to block them in before dropping Deckard*
*Kage and Dream and lying in a glowing blue pool. It's not water, and every so often electricity sparks across the surface. The two are unconscious*
Stars: Dreamcatcher! *dives for her, only to yelp and snatch his hand back when the liquid shocks him*

Wyrm: And you don't think I should? *not denying it*
Stars: *drops Mitham out of the compartment so he doesn't end up fried, and tried again to drag Dream from the liquid. He /growls/ at the pain, but manages, falling onto his back with her hugged to his chest, limbs twitching at the electrical overload* You fragger.
Wyrm: *snorts* You did that to yourself. *tail shifts and lifts Kage from the pool without causing a spark. He sets the bot before Deckard* Frankly, spirit, I am toying with you. And why not? The only people I see are trespassers and thieves, or those seeking glory by destroying me. I know the stories told on the boarders about the desert belonging to me, so if people still dare to attempt to cross I have the right to keep them here. I tried to be friendly at first, that got me nothing. If people wish to fear and hate me anyway, then I will give them reason to.

Deckard: *he'll kneel to check on Kage when he's not squaring off with a dragon, though he does shift to stand protectively over him* Even when people come in peace and just want to leave you alone and be on their way? And I say again, it's not as if there's any way /around/ it. We don't want trouble, we just want to get to the far side and continue our journey. *he'll /strongly/ suggest Kagerou FLY back when he returns, if that's at all possible…*

Deckard: *draws himself to full height, meeting that one great eye* Neither. My name is Deckard, team lead of the Brave Police. And I and my companions are headed for the Breach. I have a chance at getting my life back, as my body's not wholly ceased to function. Kagerou is guiding me and then will be returning to the village he's taken as residence, since he already knows his body is destroyed and he can't return with me. Starscream, Dreamcatcher, and Mitham - *gestures to each in turn* - are coming with us to make the same attempt that I am.

Wyrm: *weary* I stopped caring a long time ago, youngling. I gave your kinds a chance, many chances, but it's always the same. Fear, hate, glory seekers. It must be part of your great stories, killing my kind, even in death we can't get a break from it. Why should I continue to put myself out there, to be friendly, when evil is all I get in return? No, I don't care anymore, I will take what I need from those who are brave or stupid enough to come to me.
Stars: *preoccupied with trying to wake Dream, he'll let Deckard handle this, he's doing well enough.*

Deckard: Don't twist my words, dragon. I didn't say I /wanted/ to kill you. Only that we will defend ourselves to whatever extent /you/ push- *looks at Mitham, and scoops him up onto his shoulder* No. You have a sick little girl to get back to, before /she/ winds up either here - dead with the rest of us - or worse, enslaved. You've said it yourself. None of us can go back to life in /your/ world, so you have to do it. *stoops and gathers Kagerou into his arms – to the dragon* You wish to be left alone in peace, then allow us to give you that. Let us leave. Or if company really is what you want, then let us leave and come with us.

Mitham: Deckard. *his voice catches* I probably don't have a body I can go back to anyway...
Wyrm: *watching Deckard*
Stars: *steps up and pulls Deckard back from Kage, pushing Dream into Deckard's arms. He's bigger, he can more easily carry Kage* We're leaving now, join us, or get out of the way.
Wyrm: ........*will block them from passing him, but the body language is more than he's got something to say than just that he's refusing to let them leave.* Come with you? *tone of "are you serious?"*

You have to hope. *startles at being pulled back, but then accepts Dream – to the dragon* We haven't tried to hurt you, and you haven't tried to eat us. *he starts to follow that with something simply along the lines of "why not", but pauses at a thought* Honestly, having some of your size and strength along could be a really big advantage. We still have several obstacles and threats ahead. In return, if anyone else tries to attack you, we'd defend you. What's your name?

Wyrm: ...*growls and rumbles, Deckard may even pick up something like a click in all of that noise.......but as this place turns all languages into something the hearer understands they'll also hear* Sandstorm. *there's a bit of an awkward pause* And yours? *he's heard them say each other's names, but hasn't actually been introduced...well, except for Deckard, and he does seem to be addressing Stars and Mitham too.*

Sand: *can't help the suspicion in his gaze as he studies them. Is he serious, or just mocking him?*
Stars: Charmed. Can we get moving? We've already wasted a lot of the nigh--ahk! *half drops half shoves Kage when the bot comes awake fighting*
Kage: *settled almost immediately, softly apologizing to Stars*
Stars: It's fine. Kagerou, meet our new friend, Sandstorm.
Kage: ?? *looks at the dragon, then Deckard*

	Deckard: nods reassurance I'm afraid we started off on a bad foot, but yes. to Stars Actually, we might be best keeping our heads down for the day /here/, since we do have this shelter. *the orbs all start the size of a dinner plate to a human, but grow to whatever size best fits the consumer. They will still need more orbs, though*

Stars: *wings flick and he glowers around at the /cave/....but it /is/ bigger than their shelter* No, resting through the next day might be good. *will move to take Dream back from Deckard*

Sand: .....There is a soft place to rest back here if you want. *still sounds mildly wary, are they uo to something or genuine? He...he thinks the latter, but it's so.../opposite/ of what he's experienced for eons that he's not sure. He /wants/ it to be genuine...*
Stars: *looks where Sand nodded and will go lay Dream down* Why has 't she woken up yet?
Sand: The fluid. She'll wake in an hour or two, she's sleeping longer because you moved her.
Stars: What /is/ that slag anyway?
Sand: It's called sleep sap, though it doesn't come from trees.

	Deckard: Interesting. Does it lose potency if it's carried in something, a bag or gas can or the like? And does someone have to be immersed? 	Sand: It works best of ingested, but will work through the skin as well. The best, if not ingested, is full emersion, but can work just as well with just putting some on a small area, best administered over the nose and mouth. why is he telling them this And no, it doesn't lose potency away from the source n (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Deckard: Good idea. to Sand at a thought How much longer will it take us to get to the other side of the desert? is /not/ assuming Sand will just /fly/ them there (though it /has/ crossed his mind) Should we try to build a blanket big enough to cover you during the day, to keep the sun off you so you don't sunburn?
