EGYPT. I REPEAT: EGYPT.

I'm not saying you should hold your breath, but I would probably have your bags packed within the next two months. Gonna hit the mother load here, we're talking potential undiscovered tombs. I'm so excited for a climate change!

[/Private]

I feel like there's much too much going on in the Tattler. And at first, when I scan over it, I sit there and think that celebrities must have these crazy, insane lives that I can't even fathom. But then I realize that that's not really accurate. If that makes sense. I mean, yes, there are going to be people with really busy and press-filled lives who go out and do these things almost for the sake of all the attention they get, but the majority of people I know who are in the more publicly followed fields of work just--aren't. And maybe I know the right people, but it makes me wonder how much of what the Tattler says is based in truth and how much of it is just hot air, eh?

And, for the record, no. They don't publish the Tattler in Canada.

Or maybe they're just too boring to get into the Tattler.

If that sort of activity is what it takes to make it onto the pages of the Tattler, it's really not even worth it...don't you think?

They can, that's true. And you can't always help what happens. But just because they don't, doesn't make a person boring. I guess that's all I'm saying.

Maybe it's an overreaction. Just hard when I know some of the things were written solely to rile up family members.

No, all they're good for is riling people up. And seeing as the party was invite only, we can't even trust people in the league to keep their mouths shut about these things.

Well. I'm sure there were a lot of people there who expected things to be kept in confidence.

Maybe I just don't understand everything. I should be thankful that I don't have to deal with all of the public he-said she-said in my job and leave it at that.

I don't think---there's much to understand. People's mistakes or indiscretions should not be publicized for the world to see, no matter what job they're in.

No, they shouldn't. And I severely dislike that anyone has to deal with that and I'm not sure that it's coming across that way. There's been a lot going on at the office, so my brain is a bit fried.

It just seemed like there was some judgment being passed, but I doubt you meant it that way.

Okay. So maybe there is some judgment being passed. But--I just see that bitch--her...she's dragging my brother's name along like it doesn't matter. Whether it's for the sake of having people talk about her or whatever. And it bothers me. I don't care what people do with their lives, I really don't. And if it weren't for the gossip twittering about at work, I probably wouldn't even look at that ridiculous joke of a publication. But when it affects my loved ones, it irks me to no end.

And it would be the same if something happened to Victoria--or you. And it shouldn't happen to anyone and I know it's not right or fair but--it stings so much more when it involves someone I care about deeply.

Am I not supposed to feel that way? Because if I'm not, I'm not exactly sure how to stop myself from disliking her and what she's doing so much.

I---no, I'm sorry, I wasn't even thinking about Spinnet. No, you've got every right to feel that way. She's just flighty and daft and keeps doing stupid things.

So I went to bed and I woke up and then noticed all these extra comments...I shouldn't have even bothered saying anything.

I'm sorry. I know I don't understand what it's like. Even when they published that photo of us--I know it's still not the same. I just need to keep my big mouth shut...

Or realize that more than just friends and family see things.

Or both.

You don't have to be sorry for anything. It's your journal, you're allowed to say what you like. You just have to know that unless it's warded anyone can respond and respond stupidly.

Or both? What's that supposed to mean-

You're my boyfriend you have to say that I'm glad you think so.

It was worth a shot, I suppose. We've got a team heading out in a few weeks, they've asked me to go along. Hoping to pick up some hieroglyph translating skills, especially since it's the only way to translate some of the mythology related things we may encounter.

That one sounds like a nutter. But anyway, I got roped into being part of the Hebridean recovery team, and in the midst of a brilliant capture plan, one of those madcap dragon breeders from up north or something mucked it up a bit and my yellow-bellied companions deserted me, thus forcing madcap witch and I to run for our lives because the dragon started FUCKING BREATHING FIRE at us, as dragons are wont to do, and we were cornered into a cave.

There were explosions and lots of fire, it was bloody awesome, but no one paid me anything, so I'm over the whole ordeal. Also, my mum was probably involved, but

But its perfectly okay for her to attack me? Did you really expect me to just sit here and take it.

Ugh Charlie was so right about you. Totally not worth going to jail over that stupid ring of yours. What did I ever see in you. You complete arse

I get that she's your girlfriend, but honestly Thomas, I figured you would at least understand being as you know exactly how it feels to have your dirty laundry aired for everyone to read. I would love for nothing more than to get on with my life, too bad I can't do so with out people judging me every step of the way.

I didn't expect you to be one of them too. Guess everything Charlie said about you was right.

[info]thomases

Right, because I didn't just defend people up in the very public comments I was having with Samantha.

I didn't say it was okay for her to attack you, and she didn't directly, she hasn't said a bloody word to you. So before you start judging me, someone you still don't even really know, I suggest you just shut it before something even stupider is said.

And I'm sure your saint of a brother, who's never spoken more than two words to me, has me perfectly pinned down, I'm sure of it.

Excuse me for not making a habit of reading other people's conversations before addressing an obvious slight towards myself.

Whatever Thomas. I am sorry you don't think your girlfriend can defend her own statements that were clearly directed towards me. But you go ahead and feel manly protecting her. I hope you feel better now that you've knocked me down a peg or two.
