Her swords were on her back, having been working out, but nobody minded at the Chalk and Cheese. Satin was drinking the same root-concoction Annie'd been mixing her since she was wee. She looked around the pub, relaxed.

Stupid connecting flights was all Casey could think as he walked into the pub. The route was rather roundabout but it was cheaper which was why he had picked it. But their had been some delays so now he was stuck in Scotland for long enough time to leave the airport for a few drinks.

Taking a seat at the bar Casey ordered the local favorite brew from the bartender and took a look around the bar. "If ya don't mind me asking what up with the swords on your back," Casey says unable to help ask the question to the young woman not to far from him.

"Don't mind at all," Satin says cheerily. "They're family heirlooms. I was working out with them earlier, and Annie doesn't much mind anything here."

"Neat," Casey says, "Hope your workout went well. Don't really know much about sword myself."

"Aye, it did, thanks. They're not for everyone, but Da's been showing me since I was four, so 'tis definitely in the blood. Got any prefered sports and such yourself?"

"I liked playing Soccer, Football and Hurling," Casey says even if his luck kind of made it unfair. "Four's an early age to get into swords, but I guess a family thing makes sense for it.

"Aye. Plus with these, it's a bit of a cheat. I can stab Annie through the heart with these, and she'd be fine."

There aresome tsking sounds from behind the bar. "All these fantasies about stabbing me, Satin. You still have to work tomorrow morning, y'ken."

"Neat trick. Magic swords or something," Casey asks. He had heard of stranger things for sure.

"It's good to be the boss."

"Aye. Enchanted. Hope that's not creepy."

"Why would a magic sword be creepy?"

Satin shrugs. "It's not something you expect to see in a pub, and some people are a bit easy to creep. Less so in this town, what with the mutant population, but y'ken."

"Aye. I guess that makes sense," Casey says with a nod of his head, "Not really much of a mutant population back home but the old magic is kind of strong sometimes."

"More than most people would think. Our highway system is a mess since that had to be built around the fairy mounds that litter the countryside."

"Certainly interesting. Aren' fairy mounds sometimes considered transdimensional?"

"That's what the folklore says. But I'm not really an expert in that type of thing."
