[orpheus!]
Juliana closed her eyes and let her head sink back into the cushioned chair. Reclined back all the way, she could still detect the glaring brightness of the afternoon sun through closed eyelids and dark shades--annoying, without a doubt, but also the perfect weather for catching a much-needed tan.

Today was her day off. Unfortunately, however, it was The Boy's day off as well, and unlike most wives, Juliana's idea of a good time did not include spending quality time with him. In fact, on the perfect day he would be working late into the night, never to utter a word to her. But that's just not how things seemed to ever work out in her life, and so she had gone for the second best thing; getting as far away from him as she could.

So there she was, out by the pool, ignoring the fact that Orpheus was anywhere within a kilometer of her, and getting some sun. Or trying to at least. Not more than ten minutes into her attempted relaxation, Juliana heard the back door slide shut and a pair of feet approach the pool area. She scoffed to herself and closed her eyes again, determined now to not allow him to disrupt her. If he wanted talk about something, he could at least wait to do it some other bloody time, but he was not going to ruin her one day off.

Orpheus sat down next to his lovely wife and glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. Typical, she was so typical and he was sick and tired of this all, particularly of her in fact.

"You're sitting in my seat," he muttered, taking the second chair beside Juliana's and carrying it about three feet away before he sat, taking off his shirt and folding it neatly on the cement. "It's nice out here," he commented, pulling on a pair of dark sunglasses and also reclining.

Juliana scoffed, making no attempt to hide it. "I didn't see your name written anywhere on it," she said, refusing to look at him as she did so. Ugh, why would he not just go away already? He didn't have to be out there right then, and she could just imagine that he was planning on bothering her as much as possible. The Boy was the bane of her existence, after all.

"It's passable." Her tone was clipped, and honestly she wasn't even sure why she'd responded that time, but it didn't really matter, did it?

"Everything in this house is mine," Orpheus muttered under his breath. She was so pretty in the sunshine and if she just kept her mouth shut, she'd be even prettier.

"So are you out here to annoy me or to avoid me?"
