it's going to be a bumpy ride (Yelena and Steve; 1,3)
Yelena was more than used to finding herself in situations like this. She had been in more than one car chase, and quite a few had involved the other side doing the chase. She was not quite so certain that her companion had been in this sort of situation nearly as often. She didn't know a lot about Steve Coulson, but she knew they called him 'desk jockey' as if it were his codename. She did not imagine this leant itself to many car chases.

Glancing behind her, her expression turned serious and she began going through the options in her head. "You are going to want to hold on tight," she said without looking over at Coulson. "Things are about to become very interesting." That said, she hit the gas hard, sending the car speeding forward and darting between two cars to try and put distance between themselves and their pursuers.

Oh, was Steve glad that he had his seatbelt on. Stupid double agents trying to sneak into SHIELD. He had spotted their forged documents, and when he had tried to ascertain their source he ended up here, in a car with the proof and and the same double agents following.

"Interesting is a way to put it," Steve muttered as he checked his sidearm. It was a standard pistol, but he has had training. It had been a bit, but he did.

"I think it is appropriate," Yelena said, not even glancing at him as she kept her focus on the road in front of them and the car pursuing them. "Do you not agree?" She was glad that she had been there, certain that if Steve had been doing this on his own he would have been in far worse shape than he currently was.

She kept one hand on the wheel as she did a quick inventory of her own weapons. She had more than a few, but that was always the case. The problem, of course, was that she would have to let go of the wheel if she wanted to use them, and she wasn't certain she trusted Steve not to send them crashing to their death if she did. If worse came to worse, she would risk it.
