Draco was more than a little nervous about introducing his mother and Thor to Charlie. Mostly he'd talked about Charlie as a friend and potential roommate. Maybe implied that he was bookish because he worked in the museum. All his posturing wasn't going to last very long once they saw what Charlie looked like though. They both had eyes and Charlie was... There was a reason Draco had yet to sleep in the second bedroom.

He watched Charlie cooking dinner for the four of them, watching his bum in his jeans and looking at his arms in his fitted t-shirt. "Do you have clothing that doesn't make you look..." Draco waved a hand at him meaningfully.

Narcissa was very, very upset with Lucius. Draco had told her the whole story, even when Evan wouldn't, and she just... She'd hated her parents of making her marry Lucius, but she couldn't imagine how Draco was feeling towards his father currently. Still, she wasn't sure she was on board with Draco moving out to be the roommate of some virtual stranger. Even if he was some sort of bookish, dinosaur-loving, elder brother type, as Draco described him. "I'm going to kill Lucius the next time I see him," she told Thor, watching the road as he drove. "I didn't want Draco to move out until at least university, but now I'm inclined to give him whatever he wants. Can you stop me from agreeing to let him move in right away?"

Charlie was nervous enough about meeting Draco's parents. Draco living with him was important so that he didn't have to see his father or Merlin together. He didn't want to fuck this up by giving anything away about the two of them. That's why he was dressed down.

The last thing he needed was Draco asking him to change. "Look what?" He asked with a frown. "I'm wearing normal clothes. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to wear."

Thor smiled softly at Narcissa and took her hand into his own, bringing it to his lips. "Draco is old enough to make his own decisions. You know how I feel about that." He told her. "I think he deserves this. Especially after all that's happened."

"I don't know either," Draco said, frowning at Charlie's clothes for a moment. "You look far too attractive. My mother is going to take one look at you and at the very least know that I want to be more than just your friend."

He looked up at Charlie and smiled a bit. "But we can't do anything to change your face so maybe I should give up on thinking we can hide your body."

"I know," Narcissa said, smiling back at Thor. "Draco's just my baby. It's hard for me to see him growing up and leaving the nest. At least he's trying to move in with some professorly type and not a... I don't know. A punk rocker."

Charlie smiled at Draco for a moment, then walked over to kiss him softly. He let his fingers graze against Draco's jawline, then pulled back. "It's good to know that you want to be more than my friend. Let alone more than my roommate."

"Even if he was a punk rocker, I think Draco deserves a new friend." Thor told her. "Especially after everything that has happened. If it's an empty nest you're worried about, we could always have a baby." He smiled and knocked on the door.

Was Draco giving too much away about his feelings? He was slightly worried now, but Charlie just seemed happy about it. If Charlie was smiling, he was okay. "I do," he agreed. "Although right now I'm concentrating on being able to be your roommate." He got up when there was a knock. "I'll get it."

Narcissa couldn't help smiling when Thor said they could have a baby. "I think I'd like another baby. Don't tell Draco just yet." She looked away from Thor when the door opened, smiling at their son. "Draco. We've missed you." She moved closer, hugging him tightly. "Introduce us to your new friend. Dinner smells lovely."

Charlie finished the garlic chicken and started to put it onto plates when Draco let his mother in. He put the finishing touches on the meal, then placed them all on the small table he had in the kitchen.

"Hello, Mrs. Malfoy." Charlie smiled at her. "Do you want me to take your coat?"

Narcissa blinked at the man offering to take her coat for a moment, then glanced at Draco as she shrugged it off. This was the person who Draco wanted to move in with? He was not at all what Narcissa had imagined. "Thank you," she said, handing him her coat. "Call me Narcissa, please. This is Thor, Draco's step-father."

Draco had seen the look. He knew the look meant his mother was onto him. He was just going to pretend that he didn't. "This is Charlie," he said, instead. "He's a very good cook. Pansy's met him. Pansy likes him."

Thor watched as Charlie took Narcissa's coat to hang up. He smiled at Draco and put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sure that she does, Draco. This is a nice place."

He slid his hand into Narcissa's, squeezing it. "Isn't this a nice place, Cissa?"

Narcissa looked at Thor, raising her eyebrow a little. At least Thor also knew Draco at least wanted to have sex with his new friend. "It's very nice," she agreed. She looked at Charlie. "Draco tends to make a fuss if things aren't up to his standards."

"Please don't spend the evening telling my potential roommate I'm terrible to live with," Draco said. "I think this would be a really nice place to live."

Narcissa laughed at that, forcing herself to relax. "Of course not," she agreed. "Thor and I are inclined to let you move out. You should know that."

"I worked on her the entire drive here. Just for you, Draco." Thor smiled and took a seat at the table. "This looks delicious, Charlie. Where did you learn to cook?"

Charlie joined them again, giving them a nervous smile. "My mother, actually. She worked in a kitchen pretty much her entire life to put me and my brother through school."

"And now you're working for the Natural History Museum. She must be proud of you. It can't have been easy to get a job there when you're so young," Narcissa said, smiling at Charlie. "Draco's always loved dinosaurs."

Draco was impressed with Thor's work, but he and Evan were the two best people at getting his mother to be sensible about things. "Charlie's working on acquiring some dinosaur egg fossils for the museum now," he said. "I got to see his office the other day. He showed me pictures."

"I did have the help of my brother. He's a professor at a University. And the other part of the time he's on dig sites in Egypt." Charlie admitted, taking a seat at the table so they could eat dinner.

"I hope you like chicken. Draco assured me you would." Charlie told her her. "And there's wine."

"It looks lovely," Narcissa promised, picking up her fork. "We'd love to be able to bring something the next time we come for dinner. Draco's other step-father is partial owner of a very nice French vineyard. He runs it with his sister."

Thor had done a good job working his mother over. Draco shot him a grateful smile, allowing himself to relax. "Charlie's a great cook," he promised. "Much better than I'll ever be."

"Evan actually gave us this bottle. At least, that's what Draco told me when he brought it in." Charlie smiled at Narcissa, settling in. He poured her a glass, then pass it to Draco to pour for himself and Thor.

"Draco is welcome to stay here as long as he needs." Charlie told Narcissa. "I'm not charging him anything. And I'm teaching him how to cook."

Narcissa raised an eyebrow when Charlie said he wasn't charging Draco anything, picking up her wineglass. "It would be nice to know my son could cook for himself," she said, nodding. "You shouldn't worry about Draco covering his half of the rent. It's no trouble at all for him to contribute. If he's worried about his trust fund, I'll happily contribute." She looked at Draco. "Draco, really."

Draco poured himself less wine than he would normally after filling Thor's glass for him. "I didn't ask to not pay rent, Mum. We hadn't even discussed it yet. You haven't told me whether or not I can move in." He looked at Charlie. "I can pay half the rent. I should, if I'm going to live here too."

Charlie cleared his throat. "I mean, if you want to. It's not necessary or anything." He told him, cutting into his chicken. He gave him a small smile. "The most you use in my house is my shower and the spare bedroom." Which was a lie.

Thor eyed Draco for a moment, then looked at Charlie. "Are you telling us everything we need to know?"

Draco hesitated, which probably gave the whole game away. Technically they knew everything they needed to. Draco wanted to move in. Charlie wasn't a serial killer. "What do you mean?" he asked. "Do you want to see the spare room? It's really nice."

Narcissa snorted into her wine glass, then set it down. "Draco, you're terrible at hiding things from us," she said, shaking her head. "It's a good quality in a child. Charlie's very attractive and clearly interested in keeping you around and happy." She looked at Charlie. "I don't know if Draco's told you, but he's just had his heart broken. I don't want to see it get broken again."

Charlie looked at Narcissa, then at Draco, then back to Narcissa. "I've just had a break up of my own, Narcissa. We were both hesitant to even start anything together. It's just that... we both enjoy each other's company."

He chewed at his bottom lip. "I just... I like spending time with him. And I want him to stay here."

"I really don't want to stay anywhere father might show up at any moment," Draco told his mother, giving her a pleading look. "I won't say we're not attracted to each other, but we're friends. Really."

Narcissa had already told Thor she'd be okay with Draco moving in, and she did like the idea of having another baby. "Well... I do want you to pay rent, Draco. And I want you to have the option of the spare room." She looked at Charlie too. "You're both young. Don't rush into this too fast." She picked up her wineglass and then smiled at Draco. "Thor and I are going to have a baby."

Charlie had been about to respond to Draco being young and moving fast, but then she was announcing that she was going to have a baby. He hesitated, then looked at Draco.

"We're not pregnant yet." Thor pointed out to them with a small laugh. "We're just... discussing it."

"We're not moving fast. We're just moving into the same flat," Draco told his mother. "Aren't you... I mean, you have me and Rowan and basically Pansy. You want another one?"

"Of course." Narcissa smiled at Draco, then looked at Thor, shaking her head. "We don't really need to discuss it, do we? You're the one who offered me another baby."

"I didn't want to overwhelm Draco with the news, honey." Thor smiled at Narcissa and patted her hand. "You should have known he wouldn't react very great to it."

He looked at Draco. "Your mother had wanted another baby for a long time now. I've never been able to give her one until now."

Draco felt grumpy now. He poured himself a bit more wine. He already had one little brother to deal with. "Try and have a girl this time," he said, after a moment. "Girls are better than boys. I'd rather have another Pansy."

"Rowan's lovely and he really looks up to you, Draco," Narcissa admonished. She squeezed Thor's hand and smiled at him. "You'll love your new brother or sister when they get here." She looked at Charlie. "Are you older or younger than your brother?"

Charlie shook his head. "I'm younger than Bill. But, I'm the second oldest to seven." He admitted. "There's Bill, then me, then Percy, Fred and George are twins, my baby brother is Ron and I only have one sister. Ginny."

He laughed. "Haven't a big family like mine can have it's perks and it's downsides. I think having siblings is good, though. It's like raising children of your own sometimes."

Narcissa smiled at that. "I always wanted to have move children," she said. "Thor and I have a little cottage of our own. I always wanted it to be full of children, but I was out voted by the other three."

Draco felt like having siblings was a good way to lose his mother's love and attention, but he kept that to himself. "Having six siblings sounds like torture to me," he said, shaking his head. "Rowan always followed me around."

Charlie thought that Draco's sulking and pouting was about the most adorable thing he'd ever seen in his life. He walked to his room and grabbed the expensive chocolates Draco had mentioned in passing once, that he'd bought, and walked into the living room with them.

"Does someone need some chocolate?" Charlie asked with a grin, sliding onto the couch beside him. "Cheer up."

"My mother is trying to replace me," Draco informed Charlie, settling against him as soon as he sat on the couch. He glanced down at the chocolates he'd brought and paused, blinking at the box in surprise. "This -- These are my favourites."

He took the box from Charlie, opening them up and immediately picking out one of the coconut cremes. Draco made a content noise as he bit into it. "They're better than most sex."

Charlie couldn't help but laugh. "Well. At least I know if I fail at making love to you tonight, I made up for it with these chocolates." He smiled, wrapping an arm around Draco'.

"I remember you talking about them. I bought them for you in case tonight went poorly." Charlie smiled, then kissed at Draco's neck. "It went pretty well, other than your sadness."

Draco picked out one for Charlie to try, holding it to his lips. "These chocolates could make up for all sorts of sins," he said, laughing a little. "They're amazing. Bite."

His smile faded a bit when Charlie mentioned his sadness. "I can't believe she's doing this to me. Another baby. She doesn't need another baby. It's like she's seeing me out the door and bringing in someone else right away."

Charlie took a bite of the chocolate, then kissed Draco's neck softly before he started to chew. He was going to make Draco feel better if it killed him.

"She's not replacing you, Draco. I think she just really wants a son with Thor." Charlie told him quietly, then kissed him softly on the lips. "Would you rather live with her and make sure she doesn't have a child or live here with me?"

Draco looked at Charlie and pouted. "That's not fair," he said. "Of course I want to live with you. I just don't want her to decide she likes the new baby more than me."

He leaned in and kissed Charlie again. "Besides, she'd probably still have it anyway. I suppose that means the baby isn't really about me moving out. And if I did decide not to move in with you, I'd be giving up on living with someone who buys me chocolates."

"Bend to my every whim?" Draco grinned at that, leaning into his touch. "You might want to re-think that offer. It's a bit dangerous to say that to me."

He slid his hand under Charlie's shirt. Maybe his mother was a bit right about them moving quickly, but Draco really liked Charlie and Charlie really liked him back. Charlie was consistently nice to him and he was hot and really good in bed. They both liked dinosaurs. What more did a relationship need, really? Dating his best friend hadn't worked. Draco picked up another chocolate, popping it into his mouth. "For now, you can pet me. Later I'm going to need you naked."

Charlie laughed softly at that and shrugged. "Well. Maybe." He told him. "But, I like the idea of you taking advantage of that. It couldn't be too bad and I'm sure I'd like it."

Nipping at Draco's neck, he smirked and crawled into Draco's lap, starting to give him a tiny lapdance. "You sure you don't want me naked now?"

Draco bit his bottom lip for a moment when Charlie got on top of him and started rubbing against him like that. "Well, maybe," he admitted, fingers brushing against Charlie's hip.

He leaned up and kissed him. "This is a very good way of convincing me. If you took off your shirt, you'd be even closer."

Charlie smirked down at Draco and pushed his shirt up, taking the other boy's hand and leading it up his chest. "I don't think I even need to take my shirt all the way off, do I?"

He leaned in and kissed him softly, then undid his trousers a bit. "Can you resist?"

It wasn't fair that Charlie was so good looking. Even if Draco was the one who got him. "Tease," he admonished, scraping his fingernails over Charlie's skin lightly.

He let it slide higher up Charlie's shirt, exposing more skin. Draco glanced down at Charlie's hipbones and then gave in, leaning up and kissing him deeply. "I surrender."

Charlie couldn't help but laugh at Draco's surrender. He leaned in and kissed him softly, hands sliding beneath Draco's shirt to push it off. He kissed softly at his delicate skin, looking at the bruises he'd made since Draco moved in.

"You still thinking about that spare room?" Charlie asked, palming Draco through his trousers.

Draco moaned a little when Charlie touched him, rocking against his hand. "What spare room?" he asked, laughing. Draco nipped at Charlie's bottom lip, reaching down to finish undoing his trousers.

"I think it would be bad of me to make you sleep on your own," he said, shaking his head. "You might get cold."

"I definitely might get cold. Since I sleep naked and all." Charlie smiled down at Draco and then kissed him softly before he stood up from his lap.

His trousers slipped down and off, leaving Charlie naked. "I think I'll take a shower."

"Why are you torturing me?" Draco whined, looking Charlie's body over when he stood. He leaned forward and pressed a kiss to Charlie's hip. "You don't need a shower yet. I can make you need a shower."

He ran his fingers up Charlie's chest, pouting at him. "You should at least invite me to shower with you."

"You couldn't wait for me to actually ask you." Charlie pointed out with a grin and then leaned down, kissing Draco as he pulled him into his arms and carried him down the hall to the loo.

He pushed Draco's shirt and trousers off, rocking their hips together. "You are so sexy." He nipped at his ear. "Why don't you tell me about how you want to be more than friends?"

Draco laughed when Charlie carried him into the bathroom and managed to get his clothes off in one go. "That -- how am I supposed to talk when you're touching me like this?"

He ran his hands up Charlie's sides. "I don't want to just be your friend," he told him. "We should be more than that."

That made Charlie smile. He looked Draco over, then kissed him softly, hands moving over his skin. "Good. I want to be more than that."

He kissed him again. "Get the rest of your clothes off. I want to fuck you in the shower."

Draco laughed at that, stripping off his shirt and pressing close to Charlie. "Yes, sir." He nipped at Charlie's bottom lip, letting his hands explore Charlie's chest before he slipped out from between Charlie and the wall, getting the rest of his things off.

Draco walked over to the shower, switching the water on. "Come here. You made me a promise."
