#10
Name: Georgina Smythe
Birthdate: December 12, 1960
House: Gryffindor
Residence: In a little house with her mother and father in Coventry.
Classes: Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Transfiguration, Arithmancy, Potions, Divination, and Herbology. She does pretty well in most of her classes, minus Divination (she still doesn't know why she still takes it), but Herbology is her favorite subject.
Appearance: Georgina has light brown hair and green eyes. Really, she's looks ordinary. There's nothing that pops out as "ohmyGod, you're GORGEOUS" but she's okay with that. Really. She's also a bit on the short side, inheriting the lack of height from her mother. If not for the regular (okay, occasional) exercising and regular walking she does, she wouldn't be as slim as she is now. Georgina has a round face and smiles a lot. The only time she's not happy is when she's angry or something bad has happened. Even if she's sad, she rarely shows it.
History: Cecile Hutchington and Stewart Smythe met while at Hogwarts. They were the best of friends, and had never thought of getting together or even the idea of liking each other as more than friends until one of their mutual friends commented about it. They were awkward and admitted that they had never thought of the idea. After they graduated, they became distant as Cecile went off to work as a Healer and Stewart in a boring MInistry job. They met again accidentally, caught up, and went for drinks. To make the story short, they hit it off again and dated. Two years later, they had a small wedding and settled in Coventry, England in a little house.
Cecile and Stewart never thought of having children until Cecile got pregnant. There was a general freak out before they got somewhat used to the idea. Georgina was born on a rather wintery day (complete with snow and wind) and from the very start, she was always loud. There really wasn't a moment in the Smythe household where there was silence with Georgina around. She tended to be a daddy's girl and loved to just sit around with her dad. It didn't mean she wasn't close with her mum, though. When it came to certain problems, she would go to her mum and talk and talk and talk and talk.
She didn't exhibit any magic until it was almost time to get her letter; she was mad at her father for something (to this day, she still has no idea what it was) and he was leaving to go to work. So she did the only thing that she thought was sensible (to a 10 year old, of course). Close the door and lock it. But instead of just going to the door, she used magic (accidentally, of course). After Stewart got over the happiness that his daughter had finally showed that she could do magic, he sent up to her room.
September 1st of her first year came by pretty quickly after she got the Hogwarts letter and did her school shopping. She was sorted into Gryffindor after a bit of thinking from the Sorting Hat. There really aren't that many people she considers her friends, since she likes being "acquaintances" with everyone.
She's always been fine with being an only child and there have been a few times when Cecile and Stewart have approached her and asked if she would mind any siblings. She flat out refused to talk about it. Which probably meant that she didn't want any.
At school, she does pretty well in her classes (never mind the fact that she talks too much in the class) and has fun, but really can't wait to graduate from Hogwarts.
Personality: One word to describe Georgina is loud. Her personality is loud, even though she doesn't look it. If she's not talking, there's something wrong with her. She babbles when she's nervous and she babbles when she thinks she's helping -- but in reality, she's not helping. Georgina looks to the optimistic side of situations and tries to cheer people up when they're down.
She has her annoying habits too. Sometimes she's selfish (case in point, any future siblings). She loves attention, but is sometimes unwilling to give up attention to anyone else. She's a terrible flirt (don't tell her that), but thinks herself as a good flirt.
The Sorting Hat told her that she was placed into Gryffindor because of her ability to say anything she thinks of -- whereas some people might not say something, she will. That's just who she is. However, her mouth does get her in trouble, especially with some vicious Slytherins and the like. They don't really appreciate that she chatters and chatters and chatters. Other than that, she's nice. She really is. She loves friendships and once she's made friends, she will do anything for them. She tries to be friends with people who she doesn't get along with because of connections, connections, connections.
RP Entry: It was a very bad day. A very bad day indeed. Today she had woken up and everyone was yelling in her dorm. God knows what they were fighting about. All she knew was that it was loud and she needed some SLEEP. You know, that thing people need 8-10 hours of? Obviously her dormmates didn't understand this concept. Ugh, she thought. She had been up late last night trying to finish some last minute essay writing and woke up at... 3, was it?, sleeping on her parchment. Instead of staying down in the Common Room, she had to drag herself upstairs, brushed her teeth (although groggily), and throw herself back onto her bed.
And then when she went to breakfast, all of her morning toast was gone. This was definitely shaping up to be a horrible day. So she had to settle for some oatmeal that was too hot with too little time to eat it in. By the time she got to Potions, she was sure that anyone who tried to talk to her was going to get yelled at.
