Deckard: *accepts the graphite...and stares at the page, murmuring softly to himself* Deckard...De-ckar-d... *shakes his head* I...can't bring any appropriate characters to mind. *spells out a word in characters Terris won't recognize* "Dekkaado." *adds more characters above and below* "Watashi wa Dekkaado. Yoroshiku." *writes again around what he just wrote, again in written characters and repeating aloud in a language Terris won't know (English), then finally points to the groupings of words and says them again, this time in the present language they've all been using (Reirinseian Common)* My name is Deckard. Pleased to meet you.

Terris: Hm. *nods* And math?

Deckard: Eh… *writes out a few quick equations . . . and then will probably have to verbally translate them because again the symbols aren't ones Terris will know*

Terris: *nods* I'll teach you how to care for yourselves out here, and I'll teach you the characters for this language... While you're with me you will follow my rules. That doesn't mean we can't discuss things if you disagree with something I tell you to do, but the final descision is mine to make, and ai expect you to respect that. *This is his home...and they're the children...even though he has a feeling they're also so much more* Most of the chores I may ask of you will coinside with what I'm teaching you and will be good practice for you. Do you have any arguments for this? Questions?

	Deckard wants to go. He wants to know what they're up against. SM and McC want to go too, for the same reasons. Duke will stay behind with the rest of the team (yes, he uses that word, "team"). Kage: *torns with staying with his brother and looking after one of his new teammates. He settles by Dmps, a wing loosely around him* How are you feeling?
Terris: *agrees to let them come. He's got two rules, /especially/ for Deckard and McC, but for SM too* You will stay /right/ beside me, and you will not make eye contact with others. If someone takes offense there is little I can do to stop them from hurting you.

SM: *had debated staying behind…but intel and recon is what he does, so…*
Deckard: *confused…and concerned* How can we manage to do anything if we can't make eye contact with anyone?

Terris: *won't go too fast, though they may still feel like they're rushing to keep up. They'll reach the town quick enough. It's....there's no tech...none, at all. They'll see men in armor, people selling hand-made wares from small booths or shops. What will really disturb the. Is that it's ver clear that any J'har are slaves or street urchins trying to stay clear of the law.*

	Terris: will keep an arm lightly around Deckard and McC, the gesture clearly protective. He'll do the same with SM too. He'll make a couple quick stops. Bowls, books and graphite, bedding, clothing. 	Deckard: not…really used to be touched, except by Yuuta, and his engineers, or a handclasp or shoulder grip from one of his teammates, definitely /not/ by anyone bigger than he is - he catches himself from flinching back a bit from the hand, glancing at it…relaxes at the comment, though, nodding Please do. Terris: *will get up and lead them back home. Now he'ls got books, bowls, and bedding for all of them and clothes for those who need them. He also picked up a few medicines that are easier to buy than make in these parts. When they get back he'll go check on Dmps first*
Kage: *has Dmps tucked to his side, the boy asleep on his shoulder*
Terris: *softly brushes a hand down Dmps's arm* Dumpson.

	The rest of the group has finished what Terris set them to do, the boys settled around by Kage and Dmps, chatting quietly. They shift out of the way as Terris approaches. Dmps frowns and murmurs…waking groggily (Reply to this)(Parent)
