DETAILED PERSONALITY:
Not the smartest kid on the block, Tomas uses his rather illogical logic to get by. He's paperwork smart, for sure, there would be no way he could have gotten into the auror program if he wasn't, but socially he's a bit slow. He's still got the jocks-are-better-than-you mentality and that often gets him in trouble with his wife, but with the rest of the aurors who mostly have the same mentality, Tomas is right at home on the squad. He's stubborn to a fault, but really doesn't have much issue when he is proven wrong. So? He's still an auror.
A lot of Tomas' ideals are driven by the idea of creating a family for himself. He was terribly depressed after his father was killed, and its become a goal of his to be the father his was. Tomas is pretty sure he'd retire once his children are born, and has no problems with the idea of being a stay at home dad. He's done more than ten years of service for the aurors and the ministry, and it is no question what would be more important to him.
History
Tomas has always been loud, he's always been bossy, and he's always been stubborn. It helps being the oldest child of three, with a mother from Spain whose temper could peel paint off of walls, so Tomas never really noticed that he was a bit of a brat or, well, mean. He didn't try to be mean, but why lie about his feelings or what he thought? What did it matter? His father was his best friend when he was young, and throughout the holidays home through Hogwarts. Tomas and Nathaniel really were the definition of 'like father, like son' and he aspired to be just like his father, who was a police officer in London.
His parents met when his mother (a native of Spain, who moved to England as an aspiring actress) was auditioning for a play, and Tomas' father happened to be in the taxi she jumped into. He paid her tab, walked her to the place, and then realized he got out of the taxi nearly twenty blocks too soon. So, he stuck around until after the audition (which was about an hour or two, Tomas has no idea how his mother didn't think he was a crazy stalker), and offered to buy her dinner. The rest is history, except for the fact that they both had magical siblings. Yep, that came out when Tomas was two years old, and he turned every item of food into a bottle, because his mother had taken his away in place of a sippy cup. This was a startling, but amusing revelation, but Nathaniel and Eliana were quite happy with it.
He went off to Hogwarts just a few weeks after his eleventh birthday, and was quickly sorted into Gryffindor. The Sorting Hat didn't waste a second in deciding, as there really was no more perfect of a fit. There he met his soon-to-be life long friend Greer Kirkham, and together the two created an intimidating duo of full-on jock supremacy in Gryffindor. If you weren't a quidditch player, you basically didn't exist to them, and that's how the next seven years (or, six, considering first years don't make the team) of their lives went. Tomas was happy as can be, having earned the grades to make it into the auror program (the war was just beginning to bubble, so his intentions were not of that to fight for the cause, mostly to be the best---). Completely thrilled, he ran up to the owlry to send a letter to his mum, but at that moment a letter for him swooped in. Part of him wishes he'd never gone up there that day, but Tomas knows it wouldn't change the fact that his father had died in the line of duty.
Suddenly this whole auror-business had a brand new look to it.
Definitely not as silly or carefree as he was during school, Tomas has earned himself the respect of many of his colleagues as one of the most strategic aurors on the field. Of course, off the field, he's a bit socially stunted, but his wife, Avis, has taken on the duty of being the one to deflate his ego whenever she notices it begin to puff up. Which is good, he needs that, he needs her, to keep him alive and on his toes at all time. Tomas is ready to fight to the death to defeat You-Know-Who, but is silently terrified of what he might miss out on if he does.
