Greatest Wish: To become a full-fledged Healer and make a difference in the world.
General Personality: Kasia is a vivacious, friendly, energetic young girl who always seems to be on the go. She has a million things going on at once at any given time, but while she will complain about how insane her life is, the truth is that she wouldn't have it any other way. Kasia thrives on being busy, on feeling like she is constantly going somewhere and doing something. She's not fond of sitting still, which is probably why she never did very well naturally in classes that required a lot of sitting down to study. Hand her a wand and she's all over doing magic, but she always had to force herself to sit down and read the material first.
She's a sweet, caring and trustworthy friend, always willing to do whatever is needed for those she cares about. Kasia is loyal to a fault, even when she doesn't get the same treatment in return and once you've made a friend in her, it's awfully hard to lose that friendship. She's a lot more forgiving than she should be and far too quick to believe in the good in everyone. Kasia can be considered naive in that sense - it's really difficult to convince her that anyone is inherently bad. She believes in right and wrong and she's firmly on the side of the Order, but she doesn't see the opposition as being bad people at heart, hard as that may be to fathom. It might be her romantic nature, but she doesn't believe anyone is irredeemable.
Kasia has the passion of her house - she's driven and determined when it comes to her chosen career path. Kasia has wanted to be a healer for as long as she can remember and she'll talk your ear off about why and how important it is if you'll let her. On the flip side of that, though, she has a definite flair for the dramatic, especially when things don't seem to be going her way.

History: Kasia's sense of romance probably comes from the story of how her parents got together. It wasn't a planned or expected union at all. Ernest Macmillan certainly didn't expect to fall in love when he did. He didn't expect it at all, really, but there he was, sent away on a business trip to Poland when he met Melania Kozlowski. Fall in love, he did, though, and it's the story of their unexpected, whirlwind romance that keeps Kasia believing in love, herself. She is wholly unwilling to settle for anything less and it would be difficult to count the number of times she's asked one or both of her parents to tell her the story again.
Kasia was preceded by her older brother Ernie in 1955. Despite an age gap of 6 years, she's always felt closer to him than to her other siblings, especially now that they are both grown up and in the "real" world. They bicker just like any other pair of siblings do, but there is truthfully nothing Kasia wouldn't do to ensure his happiness and she knows he feels the same way about her. After Kasia came their younger sister Morgan, born on the 8th of September in 1965, the youngest of the Macmillan siblings. Kasia has always been a little protective of her, but Ernie is the sibling she's always felt like she could really talk to.
Only 5 when Ernie ran off to Hogwarts, Kasia didn't really understand why he was leaving her, but she definitely didn't like not having her big brother around, except on holidays. She had a tendency to cling to him a bit when he was home and she was never shy about making her opinion known when it came time for him to leave again. Not having her brother around SUCKED.
That changed, of course, the fall after her 11th birthday when it was finally her turn to board the Hogwarts Express for the first time. Kasia regarded the whole experience with the same excitement she gave everything else. Everything was brilliant! Suddenly, there was so much new stuff to do and explore and the fact that she still had a very little time with Ernie still there, too, only made the whole experience even better. Her first year was his last, but that year, to Kasia, was absolutely fantastic.
She missed her brother in the years that followed, but Hogwarts had so many wonderful distractions that Kasia found it difficult to be homesick for very long. There was so much to do and see and learn and Kasia soon through herself into it all - classes, friends, plenty of corridors to explore. Kasia's friendly and outgoing nature meant that she made friends easily and there was never a lack of something to satisfy her need to always be doing.
Of course, with puberty came an interest in boys on top of her usual socialising. Kasia isn't what one would normally refer to as boy-crazy, but she's definitely not one to shy away from dating. Her relationships have varied in length and seriousness, but she doesn't believe she's found the one, yet, and she's determined that she will one day. She's positive that he's out there somewhere and that one day she'll have a magical love story to tell her own children, just like the one she begged her parents to tell her as a child (or possibly last week, but shhhh).
Love isn't the only thing on her mind these days, however. Kasia has just recently graduated from Hogwarts and as she awaits her final NEWT scores, she is anxiously waiting to see if she will be accepted into the healer training program at St Mungos. Kasia had wanted to be a healer ever since she was a small child and a part of her is terrified she won't get in. Assuming she does, though, she'll be well on her way to achieving at least one of her lifelong dreams.
PHYSICAL Portrayed-By: Sarah Roemer Height: 5' 7½" Hair Colour: dark blonde/light brown Eye Colour: blue Distinguishing Marks / Features: Kasia doesn't think of herself as being exceptionally beautiful, but she's self-confident to know that she's pretty and that confidence shows in the way she carries herself. She isn't a girl who takes an insanely long time with her appearance. Kasia generally leaves her hair to dry in natural waves, though she will occasionally charm it straight if she feels like a change.
Samples 1st Person Journal Entry: I am absolutely positive that I have failed every single one of my NEWTs.
I know that's what everyone said, but I mean it. I complete blanked on cheering charms and I swear I completely botched the practical portion on the Transfig exam...
I failed them all and I'm not going to get into healer training and I'm going to spend my life working at the Leaky, because I won't be qualified to do anything else.
.... I have GOT to get out of this house before I drive Mum and Dad mad go mad. Maybe I'll do some shopping or something.
3rd Person RP: Here!
Other Blurb: Little sister to Ernie Macmillan and fresh out of Hogwarts, the friendly and energetic Kasia is about to enter healer training at St. Mungos and she couldn't be more excited about the chance to become a healer and make a real difference in the world she lives in. Plans for your Character: She's just kind of finding her way in the world - starting training, becoming a true adult and it will be fun to watch how she grows up. Aside from that, I don't have any specific plans for her, but I am also always open to having her used and abused for plot purposes. |
