We ran the first mile in like
Nobody was pushing Carlyle on Wednesday, though, as he turned in a time nearly 12 seconds faster than anybody has ever runUGG Boots in a high school cross country race on the course at Lake Padden Park. Second-place Nick Lobb of Bellingham (13:04.6) also broke the record, but couldn't quite keep up with Carlyle.

"We ran the first mile in like a 4:55, which isn't bad," Lobb said. "He just pulled away from me in the hills, but I did my best to stay with him."

The old record was held by former Sehome runner Mason McHenry, who ran a 13:06.0 on Sept. 19, 2007, before heading to Arizona State.

Carlyle made his record run despite having his left shoe come untied again.

"I don't know what it is," Carlyle said. "For some reason it's the same leg. I even switched shoes, so I have noClassic UGG Cardy Boots idea what it is. It's like I've forgotten how to do something (I learned in second grade)."
