I'm just owling to let you know that I'm fine, just staying with a friend for a few days, so there's no need to worry over my safety or whereabouts. She has extended family in and she'd rather not deal with the entire situation by herself--you know how it is. I promise I'll keep you updated, and let you know when I'll be back. I forgot to pack my journal, otherwise I would send you correspondence in that matter.
