Graeme!
She tugged on the elastic of her gloves almost nervously as she watched Graeme tire out the dogs. They really needed a manlier dog for him to play with, because the little puffs they had looked more like charmed toys bounding slowly after him in the snow than an actual dog. Maybe that's what she'd get him for Christmas, if she had the money.

If they ever got their damn wireless show back.

Giada tried, she really, really tried, but everything she bothered to think about led her back to the WWN and their lack of...she supposed enthusiasm with getting their show back on the air. She had a terrible feeling in her gut, one she wasn't used to; Giada thought she was an eternal optimist, but the situation they were in right now was challenging her beliefs. What if they never got the show back? That was a big chunk of income, gone in the blink of an eye. The muggle station's show was still on the air, but the pay was terrible and---definitely not something you could, or should raise a family on.

Maybe that was why she couldn't get pregnant. Giada knew, logically, that they hadn't been trying for very long, and that you only had a few days a month to actually get pregnant, but it seemed like whenever anyone else wanted to (or didn't want to--) poof! They were up the duff! Maybe she had to start not wanting to have a baby, and then she'd be stuck with one.

A smile struck her face (a surprise!) as Graeme trotted over, their dogs trailing slowly behind, "They're pupsicles."

Snow was probably one of Graeme’s favorite things in the world. He couldn’t explain why, but every time it snowed, he turned into a 5 year old kid again. He had been brought up being read all sorts of Christmas stories, and had built snowmen, made snow angels, had snow ball fights…and had even shoveled the stuff more times than he would like to remember, but yet it still put him in an incredibly good mood. Even when he slipped on some ice, he would be pissed about it momentarily, but would have a good laugh about it later. It was just…awesome.

And something awesome was something he needed after everything that had happened recently. First, his wife had been attacked because she had married him, which meant a lot of pain for both of them, both emotionally and physically. Then, John Lennon died, and while he didn’t know the guy personally, he was still John freakin’ Lennon! That just added to all the things that had been going wrong as of late. Now, Giada was dwelling on the fact that they still weren’t successful at making a child, as well as the radio station not getting back to them about when, or if they would be getting their show back. The show they did still have was suffering because of their bad moods, but they were trying to make it work…but it was hard. It was really hard. Giada was usually the one cheering him up whenever he was cranky, but now it was the other way around…and he didn’t know what else he could do, besides what he was already doing.

“Augh!” Graeme slipped on a chunk of ice, and wobbled around to keep his balance as the tiny dogs yipped and jumped around him. He had spent the last half an hour running around the court yard of their apartment complex, the small dogs following him around as he did so. He almost didn’t realize Giada was standing there, but as he looked over at her he gave a smile, his heavy breathing coming out in silver puffs. He whistled for the dogs and patted his legs so they would follow him over to her, rubbing his gloved palms together as he tried to warm his hands. The smile he saw form across her face made his own widen, since it had been so long since he had seen her do that. Her comment made him laugh, and he reached down to pick up Corndog. “They’re resilient little buggers, I’ll give them that much.” The dog yipped playfully at him, and he felt Merryweather jump up against his leg. He looked down at her and grinned again, before he looked up at Giada. “So! Is the snow finally growing on you?”

Her nose scrunched as Merryweather jumped over to her, his wet paws leaving prints in her jeans. Sure, they were charmed with some heating spells so her shins weren't feeling the cold, but the idea of being cold was enough. Her face was cold, but she was able to ignore that for the moment as Graeme came close. Giada hoped that her heart always sped up at the closeness of her husband, that she instantly felt warm whenever he was near.

"I like watching you, in the snow," she said, tugging down the flaps of her winter hat over her ears. It was true. Seeing Graeme so happy honestly made her happy. That was one thing she'd learned from being married, you were never fully satisfied with anything unless your husband was too. She wondered if maybe that was why she hadn't been able to get out of her funk; Giada was sure that Graeme wasn't as optimistic about their WWN show as he said he was.

Giada smiled again though, and reached out to wipe some snow off of his face. She was glad that he found the energy to try and make her happy, even if she was doing a poor job at actually being so. For better or for worse, right? "Aren't you freezing?"

“Not surprising. You like watching me all the time.” His answer was full of sarcastic cockiness, and he gave her a playful wink and a smirk to make that completely obvious…even though it should have been without the gestures. He was a pretty modest guy who was known for his sarcasm, so if she put two and two together…

As Giada reached out to wipe the snow from his face, he scrunched up his nose, thinking about her question for a moment before he shrugged his shoulders and put down the small dog, who immediately started yipping. “I’m cold, but I could stay out here all day, if I could. It was a lot harder to do so without some warming potions growing up, but…frost bite be damned.” He gave her a smile, and then leaned forward to give his wife a kiss. “…although I’m suddenly a lot warmer now, without the potion.” He smiled again and gave her one more kiss before feeling the dogs on his legs again. He looked down at the pups and then with a whistle and a point, they went running off to hop around on their own in the middle of a pile of snow. He laughed at how ridiculous and small they were before he turned back to Giada, stepping forward to place his hands on her waist, pulling her towards him. “Now…where were we?”
