"Hate to break it to you, but if you were to run into someone who spends as much time in the gym as you do, you're probably related. Of course this means you'll have to leave the gym on occasion to meet girls."
Anya laughed. "I don't think so. So what we've determined is that you need someone to drag you out of the gym and I need someone to drag me out of the lab."
"Yeah. Wearing a monkey suit is one of the requirements, but don't worry. I'll take care of it all. You're do me a favor after all."
Anya didn't mind going to big fancy events, she loved it actually, but she hated going alone. Lately she'd been dragging Misha, but she knew it wasn't his thing and he needed a break.
He chuckles. "I doubt my parents would mind anything that involves getting me all dressed up, and going with such a cute girl is favor enough. Sure, count me in."
"My father might. My mother and my fairy godmothers would be thrilled if I appeared in a tabloid. I might not hear the end of it for a while, but they'd be thrilled."
"I'm sure Uncle Steve will say that I'm a bad influence on you. The Stark genes and all." Anya grinned. Nope. Not ashamed of being a Stark. "It'll just be a matter of time until you're in one."
"That was kind of my thought, yes. If they're going to be there anyway, might as well either ignore them and assume they're going to write what they're going to write, or give them something entirely unfounded to run off with and force a retraction a week later."
"No better way to make the media look bad than make them print something blatantly false and have to issue an apology. It'd have to be big enough that they can't couch it in rumors and allegations, of course."
