Sarah picks her wife up, lifting off the ground and spinning a bit. "That's wonderful! It had taken so long with no news... I'd kind of stopped thinking about it."

"I didn't," Anya told her. "It took a few tries, but it finally took. I didn't tell you because I didn't want to disappoint you with the failures."

"I take it by your reaction you're happy?" Anya teased.

Anya laughed as she watched her wife run to get a shower. Time to go order dinner. Life was about to get very interesting.

Its not that Sarah dislikes Tony and Natasha. She adores them. But she and her wife have their lives and routines. They wake up, Anya goes to the lab, Sarah goes to the gym, then to trouble briefings through SHIELD and the Avengers... and then, if that's quiet, back to the gym. It keeps them both busy and happy. Its a good rut.

And yet, she's excited anyway, and sure it will all be worth it.

She makes it a record fast shower, rushing just as fast to pull some comfy lounging clothes on so they can get on to pizza, ice cream and couples time.
