William "Billy" Duncan

NAME: William "Billy" Joseph Duncan.
AGE/BIRTHDAY: 16 & April 19, 1995
GRADE: 11th Grade (Junior)
CLASS: Middle Class. Kind of a loner due to the fact that he moves around a lot.

FAMILY: It's just him and his dad. His mom ditched them both when he was 5. He's pretty close to his dad, even if he's always working and always moving them from place to place.
SEXUALITY: Straight.
ACTIVITIES: None. What's the point when he never seems to be in one place long enough to enjoy it?

APPEARANCE: Billy is about average height, standing at 5 feet and 10 inches with an average build. He's not overly athletic, but he's not incredibly scrawny, either. He tends to dress a little on the grungy side with worn jeans and t-shirts, dark colors more than light. He doesn't really pay close attention to his appearance. He showers and keeps relatively clean, but he's not at all vain about his appearance.

Billy has dark brown hair that he's currently keeping pretty short, though he has been known to grow it out a little. His eyes are a blue-green shade that sometimes appear more blue or more green, depending on his mood. He shaves regularly, but it's not uncommon for him to have a little stubble, because he's far too lazy to do it every day.
PLAYED BY: Thomas Dekker

LIKES: Pain, fighting, drinking, partying.

DISLIKES: Moving, getting attached, being the new kid, country music.

STRENGTHS: Cute, intelligent, witty, good dancer.

WEAKNESSES: Sulky, moody, not athletic, stubborn, sarcastic.

DETAILED PERSONALITY:
Billy is a moody little thing. He has a few issues, between his mom leaving and not wanting him and his dad moving them all over creation since before he was born. He gets that it's not his dad's fault and he doesn't really hold it against him, but that doesn't make it suck any less to always be the new kid.

As a result, Billy tends to keep to himself a lot. He doesn't like to make close friends or get too attached to people, because he knows he's just going to end up moving again and then it's going to suck when he has to leave those people behind. He'll go out and have fun and he's not completely anti-social. He just trues not to get too close to people.

Billy has a number of bad habits. The occasionally mean sarcasm aside, he drinks, he occasionally gets high, he has no qualms about screwing a girl just for the hell of it. He's not about to let himself get attached, but like any teenage boy he has urges and he tend to act on them.

While he knows how to stay out of any serious trouble, Billy does have a tendency to pick fights. He doesn't always pick them with people he can beat, either. Billy likes pain and he doesn't mind having his ass handed to him now and then. Sometimes, that almost feels better than winning.

HISTORY:
James and Lily Duncan were ridiculously happy once. They got married right out of high school, too young and in love to think about the practical things like how they were going to pay the bills. Within a couple of years, they were drowning in debt with a baby of the way, both of them working crappy jobs just to try and make it. James enlisted in the Army not long after that. It would give him a good, steady job, income, insurance - all the things his young and struggling family needed.

Unfortunately, it didn't give them a lot of stability. James didn't mind the moving around or the being the government's bitch so much, but Lily got tired of it quickly. James was never around, she'd complain. When he was around, it seemed like all they could do was fight. She wanted him to quit, as if that was really an option with the Army.

It wasn't long after Billy's fifth birthday that Lily left them. She'd had enough of the Army lifestyle. She'd had enough of trying to raise a kid half on her own and of feeling like her husband was more into his job than he was her. She was done. Apparently, she'd had enough of Billy, too, because she didn't even try to get custody of him. James was now stuck raising his son on his own, which was a challenge, but he made it work.

Billy has spent his whole life moving around. He's never been in the same town or school for longer than a year. He hates moving, but he deals with it. After all, he's still just a kid and his mom didn't want him, so he pretty much doesn't have a choice in the matter.

Last year, they Army moved them yet again. This time, they're in Chicago. Supposedly, they're going to be stationed there for at least a year or two, but Billy's not holding his breath. He's heard that story before.
