Getting the 6 gauge double-flared eyelet out of my septum was hard. I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to get the damn thing out! It was seriously uncomfortable. Thankully I have a 6 gauge amber plut to put in, so that's one piercing I won't lose. I've given up my tongue, medusa, and nostril piercings, will try to get retainers for my eyebrow, bridge, and labret piercings, and will take my chances with my lobes and cartilage (except for the ones that have amber plugs anyway).
I hate this part. It's a major no-control-over-myself thing. |

So, I treated myself to lunch at Hoover's... how I have not been there before? It was very tasty... and went downtown to get some retainers for my piercings, which were not as expensive as I'd feared. The ones in my eyebrows and labret seem nice and secure. The one in my bridge, not so much, so I jury-rigged a bandaid to help it stay in place.
The hospital just called. They changed the time of my surgery, so instead of 8:45 I am supposed to be there at 10:30. That much longer to fret! |
