.: Crying :. She knew what time Seth usually left for practice in the mornings, which made it easy to know when she was able to go to their home and get her things without confronting him. The divorce paperwork was in the mail, which meant that in a couple of weeks, they would each be sitting with their designated solicitor in order to finalize the end of their marriage. The beautiful sapphire ring he had given her when he had proposed was still on her left hand, even as she turned the keys in the door, pushing it open with her shoulder in order to step into the Montrose flat. She hadn't been back there since they came to the decision to exterminate their marriage, needing to spend some time away in order to come to terms with the fact that she was going to be Savannah Davies again within the year.

She didn't want this - she didn't want to get a divorce after being married for just over a year, but what else could she do? He had told her he wasn't in love with her anymore, though he had tried to make it better by saying he would always love her. It just wasn't the same. People loved their friends, people loved their pets, but they didn't marry them. They had made vows to stick together through thick and thin, through the hard times and the good, but that was back when she thought they were two people who were in love - two people who would continue to be in love until they were old, wrinkled, and too weak and tired to do anything more than hold hands. That was how she had always imagined things being once she got married, though the wedding itself wasn't exactly what she had imagined, either. She always thought that she'd have her parents and Sam with her when she took a husband, but it was just the two of them. They had to be husband and wife as soon as possible if she was going to be able to move to Montrose with him, seeing how the Ministry had made it law that muggleborn witches and wizards could barely step out of their own homes at the time.

She had to wonder if that was the only reason he had put a ring on her finger. He had allegedly been in love with her once upon a time, but did he ever have any intentions of spending the rest of his life with her? Did he not fully understand the concept of marriage? Was it just convenient for him at the time? She had so many questions, and then there were the ones that she made personal; questions like 'Did I do something?' or 'Did I not try hard enough?'. She hadn't put so much blame on herself after a breakup since Logan, who had also proposed to her with the promise of a lifetime together...and that was before she walked in on him with another woman in their bed.

Had Seth found another woman? It was just another question she kept asking herself, trying to make sense of it all as she stepped through the foyer, looking around at all the empty spots on the walls. There had been photographs there; some of them were of the two of them, looking happy and in love, while there had also been others she had hung up that Seth had already sent back to her. Pictures of her and Sam, or any other family photos that she had hung up to try and make the place feel truly like home. There were empty spots on counter tops where some of her things had been, but what she hadn't gotten back yet was her clothes. They were in the bedroom.

Pushing the door open, Savannah slowly made her way towards her closet. She removed whatever garments and shoes she wanted to take with her, throwing them into the bag she had slung over her shoulder. When she looked back into the empty closet, everything hit her at once. This was it. This was the last step, and then there would be no trace she had ever existed in the house. The thought created a lump in her throat, and while she had been trying so hard to keep herself together, her eyes began to well up with tears that she hadn't wanted to spill while she was there.

Taking a few steps backwards, she sat down on the bed, trying to keep herself from having a melt down in the middle of their bedroom. Well, his bedroom, now. Suddenly, she heard the front door open, and her eyed widened as she looked towards the hallway. He wasn't supposed to be home - he was supposed to be at practice for at least another hour! She couldn't face him like this, and her heart pounded in her chest as she slowly stood to her feet. A figure appeared in the doorway, though he was more startled by her. It was Henry Wadcock, Seth's younger brother. Her soon to be ex-brother-in-law.

"...hi, Henry."

Savannah managed, trying to sound put together.

"Hi," he replied though he soon cleared his throat , reaching up to scratch at the back of his neck. "I wasn't expecting anyone to be here."

"I was actually about to get going, I just-...I had to get some things." She explained, gesturing to the bag that was behind her on the mattress. Her voice quivered as she spoke, clearly trying to keep her composure. Henry's lips pressed together to show that he understood. "I was just coming by to get Leanne's jacket. Seth um...he said it was in here?" Savannah nodded, wiping at her face before turning and going to where she knew the article of clothing was located. It was in his closet, and as soon as she opened the door she caught a wave of his scent, causing her eyes to begin watering again. She quickly reached out for the pink jacket, closing the door and handing it to Henry. He looked like he didn't know what to be doing with himself as he took it from her with a quiet thanks. A few beats went by before he finally spoke up.

"Do you need any help with anything?"

The question made Savannah's face screw up, trying not to break down in front of Henry, but there was no holding back the tears anymore. They started streaming down her cheeks, and she turned her face away from him, almost like she was embarrassed. She didn't like crying in front of people, and she sure as hell didn't want Seth finding out she had broken down in front of his brother. "No, I'm...I'll be fine." She said with a sniff, turning back to him to give him a pathetic smile before wiping her face again and grabbing the bag. Henry soon rushed to her side.

"Here, I'll get that for you," he offered, extending his hand so she could place the strap of the bag in it. Savannah looked at him, bleary eyed, and eventually rolled her lips under before allowing him to assist. "Thank you..." she said, her voice tight with emotion. He just gave her a nod, looking empathetic as he adjusted the bag over his shoulder. Now that her hands were free she wiped at her face again, following Henry out the door. She stopped walking once they were back in the foyer, staring down at her left hand. She sniffled and turned to look at Henry before staring back down at the ring. Her lip quivered a little as she removed the jewelry from her hand, stepping over to place it on an empty spot on the shelf, where there had once been a picture of the two of them. She stared at it for a moment before taking in a deep, shaky breath, drying her face one last time before looking back to Henry. That was the last thing she needed to do in order to accept this for what it was.

"I think I'm ready, now..."
