Part 1: The Basics

1. What is your full name? Noralie Lynn Thompson. You have no idea how difficult it was for me to say that as a child (the lie-lynn bit always threw me off).

2. Where and when were you born? I was born in London on February 29, 1956.

3. Who are/were your parents?

4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?

5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people. Currently I live in Ottery St. Catchpole with myself, unless you count the baby growing inside me. It's a very simple cottage; small (I can't tell you how many times Griff knocked his head on a doorway) with quaint hand-me-down furniture. I can't afford lavish things on my salary, but I like how it looks so it doesn't bother me much.

6. What is your occupation? I am a primary teacher in southern England, working with 5-6 year olds.

16. What is your earliest memory? I remember my "first" birthday vividly. My parents made a huge deal out of it (as has been the trend ever since) because it only comes around once every four years. It was hard for me to understand exactly why it was such a big deal at the time.

Part 5: Relationships With Others

60. How close are you to your family? I'm very close to my mum and dad. My brothers are a bit older than me, so they're very protective. Nathan tries to keep up with everything more than Mark, but we always find time every other month or so to get together and have lunch or dinner as a family.

Oh, I love children's stories. But I do prefer to read the Prophet every night once I'm home and settled in.

Part 7: Self Images And Etc.


84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?

85. What is your greatest strength as a person? Determination. This whole...situation with Griff has taught me a lot about myself. I've been determined since I found out I was pregnant to make it work, no matter what. I'm determined to work through the more awkward parts of Griff and I's relationship. I'm going to be there for my daughter and I'm going to make sure that her father has the chance to do the same. I'm so terrified, but at the same time I know I have to do it and so that's...enough to give me the determination to keep going every day.
