Well, that is a decision that you can make for yourself. There are plenty of cultures where women are in charge of raising all of the children until a certain age and then they are split into their respective gender roles. Much like the routine at Hogwarts or many animal species I have observed.
There is certainly no obligation after siring a fetus into raising a little human witch or wizard if that is what preoccupies you.
