Flash-forward to a possible future - Summer 2020 Things had gone from bad to worse in the general span of the universe. Malicor, with a Lantern Ring on every finger, had burned a swath of destruction through almost every sector of space. Now, he is converging on Earth, and all that stands between him and his goals is a multi-universal fleet of heroes.. including a certain group of Lanterns who aren't quite kids anymore.
The battle with Malicor hasn't been going well. Most weapons and other efforts are brushed away quite easily for Malicor. he is supremely more powerful than compared to what he might have dished out in 2010. Of course.. so are the trio of adult men who have grown up no doubt though the past ten years, each realizing his potential in their own unique ways.
Malicor has blasted past the defenses for Earth, and is coming up now on the heaviest hitters now that he is in the atmosphere. His goal is to reach the Earth's core and destroy it, thus destroying the whole planet. This has not been an easily won battle for him however, and now he's having to face the Guardians. Some of the space-side heroes have fallen back to ground level and stand
Avalon, for his part, has not gotten much bigger, but he has filled out and gained another few inches on his wingspan to make up for that additional mass. He has proven to be one of the more masterful users of his ring in recent Blue Lantern lore.. Of course what he would worry about that made him different as a young Lantern is what has proven to be his best strengths now as a seasoned Lantern. Even those used to battling against Blues found him hard to deal with. As usual he hangs back, letting the others lead so that he may support. He is now waiting for Malicor to get into position for their plan to be put into motion.
"Thou doth have no prayer!" Malicor cried, as he points a yellow-fingered ring at the heroes. "For soon thine world will be destroyed!"
