Maybe if you'd let it go and stop being so weird about it, it wouldn't bother you as much. And although I'm sure she appreciates the sentiment, she definitely wouldn't want you go get yourself hurt even though I'm sure she's already told you that since you never listen. Still, she probably appreciates your vague attempts at discretion.
