PERSONALITY & HISTORY: Matthew was born and raised in Scotland. From an early age he was a sweet tempered boy. Growing up in a muggle background he grew a studious nature but very rarely went outside to play with his classmates. Though if someone was hurt and crying he'd immediately go outside and try to help him. When he received his letter in the mail that he had been accepted to a magical school, he laughed and threw the letter out. Two weeks later after hearing no word from the parents or the boy Professor Sprout showed up at the Brocklehurt doorstep to explain that Matthew was indeed special. So that September, Matthew was whisked into a whole new world in London. After being shown the ropes he arrived and was sorted into Hufflepuff.
As he went through school he became charming as the years grew on. Four years into school he met Madeline Chamberlain shortly after he arrived for his seventh year. She approached him and made herself known. She was a third year and quite pretty and intelligent. He was immediately attracted to her. He was surprised by her bold ways and sarcasm. Though as time wore on and she wouldn't stop nagging him to date her, he said yes.
After he graduated he enrolled himself into the Healers program still having the empathic nature to others hurting. After several years of training he was finally made Healer Brocklehurst and put in the Magical Bugs section, right as Madeline graduated. On Madeline's graduation day he proposed to his one true love. She refused him but he hasn't given up hope. He carries the ring he bought for her now almost eight years later and proposes to her once a week. Though she says no every single time he doesn't give up hope.
